Role-Playing messages

When jolly co-oping or invading, does anyone else ever send "in-character" messages? Typing on the xbox keyboard takes some time, but I always get a kick out of it, and I think other people enjoy it too.

A few I have sent in the past while invading:

"Give me all your valuable loot and I may let you live, cur"
"Send your phantoms away and I will make your death quick"
or, just to antagonize, " Your souls and humanity shall be mine, weakling"

...of course when you lose you look like a jerk, so don't send straight hate mail, but most people recognize that you are just joking and send something funny back. It's a good way to get a friendly rivalry going. If somebody was obviously ganking or used some cheap tactic to kill me I never send a message.

A few messages I have sent Sun-broing:

Upon greeting-
"Lead on, fearless master!" followed by
"My ______(sword, spear, whatever I am using) is at your command, sir!"

Upon dying before boss defeat-
"Master, I am not worthy!"
"Forgive my weakness, I beseech thee!"

And upon victory-
"For all my days I shall remember fondly our victorious adventure, sir!"
"We have defeated great monsters together, brother, always know that I am your friend!"

Anybody else ever do this?

To answer your question though, no, I've never done it, nor have I ever thought of it. It's not in my nature to do that, but I still find it pretty funny lol.

All I've done so far, was invading with a Solaire cosplay and I always send message "Praise the Sun and I will let you live!"
If they did the gesture I left, or even gave them an item. If they didn't...well

I always respond to hate mail in character.

"the guilty pay the price"
"vereor nox"

Yes, I did that once as an Egghead, and as my first successful warrior...

... People run, when they see my egghead. Really.

Hmm. I should start doing this when I invade.

"I am the Queen of Grief. Take my present and help me spread chaos Undead."

*and that's when I'll drop 50 cracked eye orbs and an elemental weapon

One time, I was on a ledge in demon ruins... The invaded was waiting for me... He was waiting with a bow, a dragon bow, for me... I wrote this to him.

"Behind You."

Then I did a drop attack on top of him... Then I pushed him with my worm, with an R2 slam from my serpent sword.

I never run when I see invaders... I walk. When they see me walk towards them, with my holy cloth, massive egg, serpent sword, and skull lantern...

They run. They like to back away from me, when I do. Usually, I only use gesture R1-Kick woth my worm...

But I send messages. I like how I bring the creepy factor in DkS.

In the forest, I use the fog ring and wait to be invaded. If I am invaded by someone I killed before, I send the message "So here we go again? Like a moth, flittering towards a flame..."

Let me see...I think my last one was "JUSTICE!"....no wait "BIG TRUCK!"

...although I did get a message from a dude with tonberry in his name that sent me "Stab." after he killed me.

I've never done anything like this, but needless to say I'm inspired now.

Next time I'm invading I'll have to send the host a message. I might need to switch invading locations though since I normally invade in the painted world.

Haha, somebody downrepped it again. I don't know what somebody wouldn't like about it, but it's funny the way it just kind of appears without anyone having commented negatively. It's like when your dog or cat leaves a little turd hidden somewhere and pretends like they didn't do it.

I've only done it as part of events. Such as "I'm the Easter Bunny" as an introduction.

EDIT: It turns out a lot of people really want to kill the Easter Bunny

If I have time to send a message it says"Have at you!" I did invade someone named "pootie tang" and I had to pm "Wadda ta"

I bet it comes from a Trojan

Anyways, I must say that I like to roleplay a bit, when I play as either my Giant Hammer, Robed Barric... or my Hooded Knight. Both Sunlight Entities

I like to send messages... still some essence of roleplay messages, I played as a gravelord white phantom in the depths at one point. I would always tell players that kill Basilisks: "Give the Eyes, and you shall receive Dark Spires."

"Repent for your sins", when I invade and kill someone as a darkmoon.

My friend got a really funny "Role Play" message.

My friend messaged me, "I killed an invader, and he sent me funny hatemail." Then my friend sent me a copy of the hatemail.

The hatemail from the invader said, "I'm a Darkmoon. I won't let you spam WOG. FOR GWYNDOLIIIIIIIIINN!!!".

I almost died laughing.

This counts, right?

When I invade people on my low SL builds, I sometimes send the host "Do you give yourself to Chaos?" And if they say yes, I drop them 50 cracked eyes.

I did this in low lvl pvp roleplaying with elite knights armor I sent something saying "A dark knight has come for your soul show no fear and send this mosnter from your world" I would poison myself and walk to them then if they didnt run and got me to 10-20% hp I would and drop somthing random like a slab or bk wep or a weapon +5 so they dont get and op weapon and can still enjoy there game

I once sent a message to person using a mage.

My sword is my heart, my journey, my death. And I'll be damed if I die from some idiot casting magic the whole time while screaming IM FIRING MYY LAAAZZER'ZZ!
