Link the fire

This may have been mentioned before, but i couldn't find anything..

Since the release of PTD edition has anyone kindled all bonfire to 20 and chosen the link the fire ending.. I know lots of people were trying it before, wondered if the the new bonfires might be the key ?

Also has anyone ever killed Gwyn and boned out, not picking either ending ?

I only kindled all bonfires and linked before AotA came out.. So theres 4 new bonfires to get up to 20.

I doubt it will change anything just wondered if anybody HAD kindled them all and linked fire to save me doing it..

Hmmm. I'll give it a swing, but go for it. I have to beat it first, ways to go. Time issues really not difficulty, not even NG+ but the bone out idea sounds interesting....i wanna try that. Maybe he'll respawn? Infinitely end boss fights would be fun.

Especially if he kept dropping his soul..

The idea of going back and getting each bonfire to 20 gives me a headache.
I got no humanity. So need to do some grinding. Then backtrack through the whole game kindling.

Tomb of the giants (3), dukes archives(3), ash lake (2) Lost izalith, darkmoon tomb etc

Done on the release of AotA for PS3.
Nothing happened.

Also left Ceaseless alive, spared Sif, dropped Pendant in Gwyns area etc.

Nothing happened.

I knew it deep down. Just thought the link the fire ending might change with the new bonfires kindled.


When you say you saved Sif.. I didn't think that was possible? he needs to die so you get the covenant of Artorias ?

No, he meant save him in the DLC. You do have to defeat him unfortunately... =(

No, I mean saving him in normal game. Sparring him actually.
You don't need to kill Sif at all if you can obtain Covenant of Artorias by other means, like BB glitch or someone giving it to you.

In case of trade, the player that gives the ring will find a new one in Firelink Shrine, there's a chest behind Frampt that will let you obtain droppable key itmes again. Not sure if it applies if you have killed Sif already...

trying to use the homebone after beating Gwyn just places you right back in his boss arena.

Sparing Sif is something I should do, really. Killing Sif is the hardest part of the whole game for me. Poor wolf.

...ok, im not positive, but i'm pretty sure that you can't drop that ring, or a few other items, like the orange charred ring, i could be wrong, but i thought a patch changed that. Basically, unless you cheat you have to kill sif. Thought i'd like to think there is a way, a still hidden secret.

I have all bonfires at 20, including the meaningless boss ones. Nut'n happened.

Nobody asked me for the ring in a long time, so I don't know if this still works, but it did.

I don't care about Sif anymore. The first time I fought him, I got him to limp and with raised Crest Shield frantically googled how to save him for like ten minutes. He couldn't kill me in all that time.

It always break my heart to fight him, especially with the new cutscene, but I have to do it, so it's better to do it fast and usually one shot him, or something very close.
