Pyro Pvp \o/

Hey guys! I've been runnin around with the idea of a pyro pvp and i've finally taken the initative and started one up, but i have some little questions. For fellow pyro's out there, what's some spells i just CANT miss for pvp? And what's your suggestion on weapons that compliment pyros very well?

So far i'm getting dex up to 45 for chaining and then working towards a weapon choice, i was thinking the claymore.

Any suggestions? Improvements? Or assistance would be much appreciated

I only specialize in poison and toxin fog pyromancy, but I've got some experience.

Great combustion/combustion is a definite must. Goes through most shields pretty well and takes out a significant amount of stamina while not wasting any of yours.

Fire surge is pretty good for pressure and baiting parries(and ripostes if you switch fast enough)

Using poison fog to hide in while you cast firestorm/chaos firestorm/ fire tempest is also a pretty good strategy that most people don't see coming.

Edit: Also Chaos pyromancies are really strong with 10 humanity. Quelaag's fury sword would be a good compliment for it.

You can never go wrong with a great fireball, at the least it offers a little time to plan your next move.

Fire whip: risky but if your opponent makes a bad rush with little poise, you'll take a good piece of health.

thanks guys, and for weapons qfs? I was thinking more of a katana or something with an enchant or high dex rating considering ill be running 45 dex? Sound like a good idea or should i stick with qfs?

An enchanted katana wouldn't work, I have a +5 fire katana that stops at 428 damage. You if you go for fire, use charcoal resin with a +15 regular weapon of your choice. That should put a dent in your opponent's health. I'm not sure about the other enchanments.

Would that be much of an increase from qfs or just slightly? Or any at all? I was doing hte numbers and it seems about the same with 10 humanity

Well with what I got as a build most dex based weapons are in the 400s in damage including qfs with 10 humanity. It comes down to your build, and how you use the weapon.

Yep, actually, qfs comes ontop with 10 humanity with 480ish where most are around 450. But ya, it comes down to almost aesthetic and play style. Thanks for the help!

There are no musts for pyro, just use what your good with

I prefer to use Great Chaos Fireball, Black Flame and Fire Tempest.

For weapon, definitely Chaos Blade, followed up by Shotel, Composite Bow, Avelyn, Silver Knight Spear, , Gold and Dark Silver Tracers, Great Lord Greatsword and Great Scythe.
