I really don't like those dogs in tomb. Of giants. They breathe heavilly and kill you in one combo. :/

I want to say the Egg Carriers, as they're really weird, but I have to agree with this:
Those dogs just creep me out every time I see them, especially when you can only see the silhouette of them standing there breathing.Samurainova wrote:I really don't like those dogs in tomb. Of giants. They breathe heavilly and kill you in one combo. :/

I actually saw that dragon for the first time in that area with the Dragoncrest Shield and astora straight sword. Valley Of Drakes I believe is its name.

I agree with you. The first time playing the game I never went that far into valley of the drakes (never went through the back either) and thought it was just a corpse. Boy was I wrong when I grabbed the items and looked up.

Re: Scariest Monster
Pisaca's because of their obvious throwback to the Mindflayers of DeS, just gives me chills. That and the two crying ones make it obvious those aren't normal creatures of Lordran

Re: Scariest Monster
The two crying pisaca were actually maidens transformed into pisaca because seathe did many experiments on maidens. Whether they were simply in the early stages of transformations thus being able to feel emotion is unknown to me, but the maiden aspect is indeed fact. As shown when you recieve miracles for killing them.

Re: Scariest Monster
I freaked out a bit when I first saw the skele-dogs but after a while I was able to get used to their attacks.
I don't think many of the creatures in this game are that 'scary' when compared to the ones from Demon Souls though.
There is that one enemy...

It also doesn't help in deal with the Picasa, in regards to how their mouths look like human vaginas.
Definitely adds to that experimenting on women vibe.

Even though I memorized all of the locations of the mimic chests, I still feel the need to hit a chest before opening it.....just in case.....Ashran wrote:Never trust a chest again.
Those Man-Eater Shells in Ash Lake man.... They really freaked me out when I first saw them since I was unprepared. After having killed the Hydra, I proceeded to walk around doing this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nf6zZsTwTXA
When suddenly a flamboyant legged clam runs at me and rams into me. Only two thoughts ran through my mind in that moment, with the first being fear, and the second being GO AWAY GO AWAY GO AWAY GO AWAY GO AWAY GO AWAY GO AWAY GO AWAY :affraid:

Re: Scariest Monster
Although they pose no threat, I'm pretty scared of the frog-rays in the Darkroot Garden. They're so creepy.
I used to think the crow demon/harpy enemies in the painted world were the toughest enemies, until I realised I was ACTUALLY JUST TERRIFIED of them.
Any enemy that becomes more difficult to fight because of the players' fear is a scary enemy, and the fact that this happens is a testament to the great game design.

Re: Scariest Monster
The little Tap-tap-tap-tap-tap-tap-tap-tap sound of the Mushroom People from my first playthrough still haunts me. Did not even notice them as I was facing the other way and for some reason stuff that happens behind your back comes off soooo loud from my soundsystem.. then a nice push to the back and I almost urinated myself. Good times.
