I didn't know this, but apparently invasions are pretty popular there in the Guardian's tunnel, so, no, it would seem you're not the only one.

I heard that people were doing it, and waited in there with a PvP build that I think would do really well in an inclosed space, and it just didn't happen. I got sick of waiting

My first PVP experience in the DLC was in the tunnel. I started popping humanity to get more Estus and halfway through I got invaded.
I didn't even put up a fight with them I was to tired. I simply waved and got backstabbed with a zweihander.
