Well, I hope this dosen't sound like a chore to you, it's really simple to me, since I'm used to it, and taught myself to do so.
From start to finish: When the files open up, go on the tf folder if available, and select 'materials' and 'models', right click on them, go on copy. Go onto your computer, there should be something that says 'Program Files x86.' Go on that, go on Steam, and then Steamapps, and your username, and team fortress 2, and then tf. Just paste anywhere in that folder.
If the tf folder isn't there for your install, there will be a 'materials' folder, and in it, a 'models' folder. Go on materials, and follow the steps above again. Then, go into the materials folder, go on models, and follow the steps once again.
Sounds like a complicated business, but if you can somehow decipher what I have just said into actual steps, you are not only a mastermind, but you have learned how to skin weapons.
But, just in case it's a WinRar installation, here's the steps for that too: Mouse over the required folders, the same as above, and go on 'extract to' and follow the steps once again. Not very hard either, but it's just a heads up.
