Which weapon should i upgrade?

Hey guys, i'm currently fighting against Nito but i die everytime i try. I've been thinking on upgrading a weapon to fire but i don't know which one...

The ones i currently own are:

Drake Sword
Sunlight Straight Sword
Silv. Knight Str. Sword
Black Knight Sword
Greatsword
Zweinhander
Scimitar
Falchion

And a few others, should i upgrade any of those? Or probably find something else? (I'm going for a STR build)

If you're going to upgrade something, wouldn't you rather upgrade it to divine, to keep those pesky skeletons down? Use the Greatsword, it has a nice moveset, good damage (1-shots the skeletons, probably), and you can simply buy more of them if you like it and want to use a regular version for other stuff.

Imo, the Falchion is the best weapon in your group. For either a dex build or a vit gouge build.

But ya what she said about divine, unless you just wanna take Astora's Sword in there with you.

You're going to be in a messy situation if you don't have a way to get rid of the skeles first. Get a divine weapon and finish those skeles. After that, Nito is a cakewalk. Use whatever you feel suits your playstyle.

Leinad did say str build, that's 1 of the main reasons I voted for the Greatsword. But Nito also has some messed up hitbox, making a falchion incapable of hitting him from anywhere except the front. I believe the Greatsword doesn't have this problem (not sure though). If you have the attunement, you can bring some pyromancies too. Great Fireball is quite effective.

Greatsword seems too slow to be able to take down all the skeles, unless he kills them all in one swing. Otherwise, they're going to stunlock him.

Because Nito's hitbox is so weird, i always aim for his feet especially when he does his sword attacks. Easy pickings.

Kill the Undead Merchant. Get the Uchigatana. You can't go wrong.

Hell I never upgraded Uchigatana in an elemental path but you can try putting Lightning on it.

Make a Divine Greatsword, use Fire Zweihander.

I get that of couse the Uchi is not a STR weapon, but if he really needs some help to get across that one boss, he can use it for a single fight.

Killing a merchant for a weapon he can get from another merchant for a couple of souls is stupid for one.
And another thing is the Lightning Uchi is terrible. In fact, any elemental version of a katana is terrible. He already told you what weapons he has, choose from those.

The last two times I've done this fight, I stayed more or less within 3 metres of the area you fall into and waited for Nito to come to me, and the skeletons didn't come at all. I managed to stay roughly within this small area both times and take Nito out with a Claymore +15, only things to watch out for are his AoE and grab attacks.

But seriously, If you're going up to 40 STR, then you should get your STR-weapons upgraded via the regular +15 path. All the other dex weapons you can weild, you're better off making them elementals silly

Everyone is insisting on a divine weapon, but I think he's better off taking the weapon with the most damage output. Nito occasionally kills his own skeletons anyway, they're not much of a bother if you don't run to the other side and aggro the giants.

i see you're going for a strength build but if you could post some of the relevant stats it would make it easier to help out as im sure ( i hope) you havent poured all of your points into STR. However on my first time through, i had a similar problem, and just modified the occult club into a divine club, the club in general scales well with STR and being divine as was said previously will rid you of those pesky skeletons, then switch back to another weapon to take down nito, so if you have the option availale to you it may be worth a shot

Zwiehand +15(Personal Choice)
Greatsword(I have never used it on Nito).
Have you considered using a blunt weapon?(Mace/Morning Star/Club(s)?) Using those items should render the skeletons dead for good if I am not mistaken. Do a Mace/Your Main Weapon setup; use the mace or whatever until the little skeletons are down, then worry about Nito and maybe the bigger skeletons later?.

Personally, if you are doing a strength build; Use a +15 Zwiehand + Great Shield. It may take a bit, but if you have the vit, you should be able to take him down easily; not quickly though but if you got the health; you shouldn't worried.

I used Zweihand +15 with the Black Iron Shield for Nito/4 Kings and no death's in either fight.

The skellies are cake if you just downgrade the occult clube to divine +5 (200 souls) as DarkFlame said.

He definitely needs a Divine if he can't handle the skeles. Dealing with Nito depends on what weapon he prefers.
