Fighting people from across the world sucks. Australia is particularly bad for me. Switzerland? No problem. Germany? No problem. England? Absolutely perfect. Australia? Invisible invaders and getting hit from 20 feet away (no joke.)

play on xbox, I don't think there are too many Japanese players on the xbox. I don't think I've ran into any.

Fuji, England may not be perfect. It took us a while to connect to each other's games.

I have the the same as you, in a way, I have a lot of U.S people on my list too, and connecting with them us usually easy.

I live in Turkey, and to be honest if my own internet connection is stable, I never really have much of a problem with lag while PvP'ing. Nobody hits me from 20 meters away or anything. Or nobody backstabs me when they're infront of me.
This is going to sound cheesy and cliché but, maybe being at the middle of West and East does help.

I live in the U.S. and I play w/kids from Oz alot(have a few friends on my friends list from there) but the only continent I have trouble with is South America. Every game I play that has anyone connected from South America is an instant lag fest. DS,Max Payne 3, BF3, any game w/MP and an abundance of South Americans gamers equals automatic rage lol.

Fighting an opponent with horrible connection is annoying to no end.
When I fight said opponent, I usually just slash blindly into the air. Surprisingly, this method has saved me more then once, despite the dramatic distance between my opponent and myself.

Usually switch to a spear and poke from a distance when i come up against asian or aussie players, getting anyway close usually results in a BS.

My connection with most players is fine, except with one guy that was in Canada.
He shot a CSS at the bonfire in front of him, three seconds later I die automatically. I was yards away from where the guy was too.
