To do list in Dark Souls 2

2.)Become the specialist in poison status, assassinations, spears, and night-time areas.

1. Go through on a dex build with a wanderer or equivelant, so I can go through with my favorite type of playstyle.

2. Go through once on a sorcerer or equivalent, since that will likely be "easy mode" and I can spend more time learning about lore and exploring than I normally would

3. Discover an exploit for infinite souls/high level and use it to grief noobs after a 3 month waiting period (don't want to harm my fellow experimenters and after 3 months, the wiki would probably have enough info that I could justify punishing idiots who go the wrong way in an area.)

Keep playing until I know everything! EVERYTHING!

Then ideally, make a Kilij wielding Pyromancer build and praise the Sun!

1. Not ruin it like I did for the first Dark Souls by watching multiple Let's Plays before even buying the game.

1. Open beer, create my character and start enjoying the f*ck out my first playthrough
2. Find my old Dark Souls bros
3. Find my favourite weapons (which hopefully make comeback)
4. Dive into PvP as soon as possible (join the dark wraiths)
5. Continue until Dark Souls 3

1: Beat Dark Souls 2 Drunk.

1. Being still alive on the day of release.

1. Create a Str/Dex character.
2. Avoid dying.
3. Die anyway.
4. Complete the game.
5. Replay it thousand times more.
6. PVP as if there was no tomorrow.
7. Make self made challenges based on the different bosses, items and environments.

2. Book a week off work and do nothing but play DS2, then tell the missus I am vacationing in Mali and have no phone or signal.. or I am moving to the Himalayas to find myself for a week...

3. Before I even sit down to play I must get recording equipment for my first playthrough so I will never forget how tense it was on my first playthrough and all the emotions I experienced...

I dont know about you guys but I literally creamed my pants in monst areas on myt first playthrough. The rage quits and tears of joy after beating S&M alone were enough to make me blissfully happy for a week! How I wish I had that on video! Not making the same mistake again.

Not to do:
Watch too many videos or read too much before playing, I already know the steel turtle guy falls back on you if you try and backstab. . . thats -1 gameplay mechanic i can discover already . . .
Also, i'm gonna pay no attention at all to stats on first run, just explore, have fun, and let the chips fall where they may, wear stuff that looks cool, be reckless, enjoy the ride and not be hung up on numbers. . it'll probably make it harder but thats kinda the point, one fear is slipping into the game a little too easily after so many DeS & DkS builds so its crucial to experience the blood, sweat and tears all over again!

ABSOLUTELY, CATEGORICALLY . . NO WIKI. youre a fool to yourselves guys if you start checking up stuff online on the 1st playthrough, were all gonna play through at least 10-15 times... so why not let the first be a pure experience. plenty of time to dig and discover.

TO DO:
experiment with **** i'd never usually use, random magic, items and weapons. Its real tempting to use the giant sword, but part of the fun is in being subtle, finding out how to effectively use what you got (excuse the metaphor!)

Take it all in. Enjoy the architecture, the design, sit back and soak it all up!

Im gonna leave it till playthrough number two or three till I frequent the boards again.. well, i'm gonna try at least!

1. Marvel at the new pretty stuff
2. "Oooh" and "ahhh" at the new enemies and locations and weapons and armor
3. Reach a boss or bosses that I swear are impossible and unfair and yell and scream and resist cussing (because my kid will hear), die about thirty more times, swear that the buttons aren't responding and that the controller must be low on power or fortheloveofgod something, curse the name of From Software that they would create such an obviously impossible enemy, this is stupid this is just stupid how on earth am I supposed to beat this guy/these guys who is/are cheating and don't take enough damage and deal too much damage and my shield isn't blocking like it's supposed to no I did not tell you to roll that way for the love of...HOLY CRAP I WON!!!!
4. Talk about how awesome that fight was as though the previous 3-hours of immature whining and complaining never happened.
5. Repeat.

1. Do a blind run with as little help as possible.
2. Find a katana or some other OP dex weapon.

Hell yeah. . . i'll be doing plenty of that, I dunno why so many people whinge about invaders, its a major game mechanic and a huge cause of tension in the game. Some of the best moments ive had in DkS have been when ive been invaded, cat and mouse, ace.

Hopefully it wont be as easy to BS this time around and will be a fair fight. . .I've got no problem being slain by a noble or smart opponent. . .
