It's just so i know someone who actually attempted suicide and he didn't ask anyone for help and he also didn't seem unhappy .
And anyone who's talking about this on a *** Forum instead of a Psychiatry is making me angry .

When you're on the internet it's easier to become comfortable, and you feel like you can trust people more since the chances of you actually meeting in real life is slim, so you're more likely to share sensitive information.

I know, anonimity makes it easy to talk .
But at the same time none of us here are profesional psychologists and if they can be talked out of killing themselves by mere common sense then they wouldn't even have gone through it anyway, and if they were really serious about it and common sense doesn't come through then they are more likely to go through it .
Either way it's best to seek profesional help rather than ask around a random Internet Forum .

If I were going to attempt to kill myself, the first place I would go is some place where I would get support against doing it. The people here try to do nothing but support them when they are going through a rough time. Also, people over the internet are not going to be as judgmental as people in real life. They won't think you're crazy, but they try to stop you from doing it.
It seems like this is a comfortable place for people to come and share their feelings, whether a few of us like it or not.

That is right, but my point was that none of us here are Profesionals that know how to deal with these kind of People, sure saying "Please don't kill yourself" followed by some simple logic helps but it could just as easylie go into the other direction for the same reasons.
Remember why Ren was banned ?
And like i said before if you can get talked out of doing it by some simple logic you wouldn't have gone through with it either way .

Simple logic seems to be a step in the right direction though. Even the small things matter. If someone is told enough to do something, they eventually do it. If everyone told them to get help, they may get help.

It's all possible because of the anonymity of the Internet and that is the reason i don't want to participate in these matters, i could end up saying something that might push them over the edge .
Even saying "Don't kill yourself" could be counter productive .

I guess it would depend on how you word something, as well as how someone takes it.
If we told her "Don't kill yourself, people will miss you too much" as opposed to "Don't kill yourself, you're too important to people", one may have a positive effect and one may have a negative effect, even though they both come down to having the same meaning.

What if he really has mental Problems and doesn't understand ?
You don't havemany mental Problems so you can't put yourself in his shoes, Psychologist however can .
Those People need professional help and imo Threads like this should be locked immediately since it could end fatal .

IMO, people shouldn't post in a thread like that if they don't think they know a person well enough to realise they may misunderstand you. Even my own response was just saying that there are better things than death.
I'd agree that they should be locked immediately, but unfortunately, there's no mods on right now, so the best we can do is hope somebody doesn't do anything stupid.

I guess I don't really know what I'm saying, only I guess, we should try to be as understanding as possible. I've never attempted suicide but I do suffer from Dysthymia and if I ever felt like coming to this place to get something off my chest I'd hope that I would be met with open arms.

I don't have anything against Rynn or that other guy who wanted to kill himself, i explained why i don't want to deal with them .
I fear that i end up being responsible for something fatal .
And i know someone who wanted to kill himself (one of my Uncles) and he didn't seek out help, he was quiet about himself but also a very outgoing and fun to talk to guy . You would have never suspected anything .
I guess that's common in my Family .
So if anything talking about it is a huge step in the right direction . But at the same time i'm not at all qualified to talk about it .
It's a complex matter
