Might be interesting if I knew who that was. Maybe I'm not cultured enough? Who is this Chief?

Absolutely hate spears (when playing against them that it) but, have never tried one myself. Hiding behind a shield and poking someone to death over a long period of time sounds fun, but at the same time i think i would get bored with it. I think that may be why i've never made a spear build.

Having lived a good part of my life in the state of Wyoming, which is the west part of the US, I would suggest the shield is all wrong for a Native American warrior. You need a round leather shield.

But the Eagle Shield looks so native american to me, how does this shield not say "Native American"?

The Eagle Shield is so cool that there's a website named after it.

Native American's didn't have access to metal until the Europeans arrived, and even afterwards never worked in metal, but traded for finished products. Shields were made of wood covered in hides or leather. All the shields I have seen have been made by taking a fresh sapling and bending it into a circle and covering it with hide.

I like the Native American style, but the hand axe seems like the obvious choice as opposed to a spear imho. Rock a Giant Helm for dat mohawk

If you make the hollow soldier waistcloth the balder legs, and have the boar helm you can get to 76 poise and have a perfectly viable mid-roll build.

Yes, the eagle shield is made of wood, but it also has a metal boss and rim. It is not a shield that has ever been used by a Native American warrior....  but that is beside the point.  I thought the point of this thread was to help create a character that represented an accurate representation of a Native American warrior.  I was just trying to help.

The eagle shield is a great shield, (it was better before the patch). The eagle motiff fits well with a Native American theme, so if it is the shield for your vision of your character.  Go for it.  The great thing about cos-play character creation, there really is no right or wrong choice.
