Ranks in the forums

Im sortive new to the forums so what are all the rankings and stuff in them?

You get different ranks the more posts you make, but some have unique ranks if you are a mod/admin or if you have done something noteworthy for the forum/wiki

They mostly relate to your post count. The more you post, the more your title will come to reflect how much attention you give to the forums. I'm not sure exactly what the thresholds are for passing each rank, or even what every single rank is, but here are the ones that I've seen, in order:

Newbie
Casual
Addicted
Obsessed
Hollowed
Revived

There are also certain people who have contributed a very specific kind of contribution to the forums or the wiki, and have titles to reflect those contributions such as WhKnight's Upgrade Master title for completing most of the shield upgrade statistics on the wiki, or Maneater_Mildred's title of Undead Merchant for her PSN Store of the Damned on the forums.

And then of course there are the moderators, who have special titles to show them as such, and the two site creators, FexDS and Emergence, who each have their own special titles.

Insomniac is between Obsessed and Hollow, then I do believe that is all of them. If there is any rank past Revived, Serious_Much will be the first to find it.

Oh hey, you are almost revived too! I think I would be under Hollowed by now with my count, and Rant isn't to far behind me.

I hope Serious doesn't go past "revived," it just fits so well in explaining why his avatar is so happy

As expressed, there are different ranks. Some, more general ones, are based on participation and change by postcount. Others are admin/mod titles and a special few are awarded to community members for their notable contributions.

Wait who has Quick of the Draw? I swear I have never seen anyone with that title, also can't believe I forgot Regular and Caffinated ; ;

WHknight Meridam had it before he was raised into the sovereign hive mind that is the Moderative circle (yes I am using emergence' insight into mod-ship from now on )

seriously though yes, it takes a while to get ranks. I like that i have a unique rank due to my post vomit xD

Perhaps it is a measure of how related to dark souls your posts are? Since reputation is how valuable your posts are, and posts is just a count, it would make sense to me to have points represent if your posts are mostly on creating new topics (a potential measure of how many new ideas you are bringing forward) and how many are about dark souls (vs off topic).

The forum has the option to enable PnP RPG on it, and the points can be used for that afaik. We decided against implementing the game since it would take a gamemaster with a lot of free time to keep all these people up to date.
