It's a medium shield that can parry and also has the deflection of a great shield. I don't know if everyone's aware of this, but it makes it a very good shield.

I'm talking deflection not Stability, stability I'm not sure about. I'll probably upgrade it along an elemental path anyway. I never try to block for more than a second or two at a time anyway.

I presume rant that it means when an attack bounces off your shield, they bounce more off heavier/larger shields. Im just guessing though, BLaine will know im sure.

I think deflection means the 'bounce' animation when you hit a shield. Talk about real combat in Dark Souls!

Basically you know how when you hit a shield, you can just hit again right? But with greatshields I'm not sure about all weapons, but your weapon will just bounce off of the shield. In fact with Leo's ring and a Spear or Rapier, you can counter attack and deal massive damage with it, and still be able to parry.

GMB buff - I like it for tourneys, when people are virtually guaranteed to buff. IME, buffing is not very common down there anymore, so GMB is usually not needed. Plus, it encourages turtling, since it doesn't last as long as SLB and DMB. So, the logical response is to turtle for 40 seconds, then attack.
I don't completely agree with every rule. But, I feel they lead to a better experience down there. The atmosphere is about the duel its self, not necessarily about winning. That is what promotes the feeling of comradery, which is what the FC is all about.

Reim thing is I can actually do okay in general PvP, but against you guys who are all ridiculous at dodging I can't get a hit in, and if it says I hit but you dont take damage I still get damage form blade :|
