Yes I'm serious, so serious I'm might consider quit playing Dark Souls. Higher camera speed in multiplayer games means higher reflexes and skill, like FPS games. This is an appropiate feature for backstabs, as it makes you react more quickly against any situation. It is so ridiculous.

The exact same option was in Demon's as well. I think max camera speed in Demon's was faster than max in this, though. Could just be me.

I wouldn't say it makes much a difference mid-combat. Maybe if you like to pivot backstab, it helps a bit. However it's quite useful for scanning, especially if you have an invader trying to ambush you.

I'm pretty sure it helps in 3 vs 1 situations. Backstab OHKO one phantom, quickly turn the camera for finding the other phantom, OHKO BS, turn camera quickly to find host, Pivot BS the hell out of him.

It's great for keeping an eye on the BS Fishers, typically I just keep my camera non lock focused on my enemies when not in immediate combat, so I can run in any direction I need, gain momentum suddenly, etc. The speed of the camera helps out a lot.

I keep camera speed maxxed too. The forest compels such things.
Any game I play, the first thing I do is root around in the options. It's amazing the stuff you find in there sometimes.

Well to me HUD stands for Heads Up Display, so I associated that with making the items on the screen more transparent like the life and endurance bar etc. But you guys are talking about camera speed.... I am out.

I've had my camera speed pretty high ever since I started, but I just like to be able to turn around fast in case I hear a noise or something starts whacking me in the back

Yea it took me a while before I figured that out. since acquiring the lordvessel removes that necessity.

Comes in very handy for co-op/pvpers to re-stock on Green Blossoms. Just warp to the first AL bonfire and fly over to Sen's.

having the camera speed on high is key for invasions and backstabs. i didnt notice it for a while either no worries. this made me think of a forum topic.
