i have tried both the kiln and the painted world, i had about one summoning per hour. currently in the burg going a bit better here

Really? For me, sl 90-120 is quite fast at kiln, 5 minutes maximum
sl 40-60 painted world
sl110-120 burg
80-120 centipede demon

Did you try finding different servers? I find it helps if you drop your sign and cancel it 3 time then drop it a 4th time to wait when things are getting slow.
