Re: The Men in Tights
So, Tolvo, I assume The Men in Tights will never take part in covenant wars or otherwise affect the other user made covenant politics... Am I right? IF that is the case, i would like to join. I'm willing to duel you or record some hunting videos with this build: http://tinyurl.com/9fwc8t8 so you can decide whether i'm worthy to wear the tights or not.

Re: The Men in Tights
Looks like a nice build, and no I don't have any plans to join in the wars unless they are really low on numbers, and that's more so just joining in some PvP, not actually taking sides or anything like that. And to me I doubt they would need numbers, so it more than likely won't happen ever. And that's a nice build, I'm sad though that Havel's won't let you fast roll, it would make that build look a bit nicer haha. And I'd love to see some videos, maybe of other you fighting other people though. My skills have dwindled quite considerably, so I can't imagine the comments would be all that flattering haha.
But yes, even if we do join in any fighting, we are strictly out of politics with the other Covenants. Frankly our existence mainly in the forest and fight club makes it so we'll probably never even run into the affairs of another covenant.

Re: The Men in Tights
Sounds good. I agree with the havel's ring. I've been trying to do a decent fast rolling leo ring build but i just can't get it work.
I'll make this build ready tomorrow and maybe record something in a week. Forest hunting is awesome as long as hunters don't take themselves too seriously. It's crazy how fast fighting constantly 2v1 can increase your PvP skills.

Indeed, I imagine the gankers won't see it coming when you get a counter halberd hit, that must hit really *** hard.
See, I always see it as another sort of PvP. Sort of funny really, that killing three guys at once doesn't prepare you for fighting good duelists. Then again, that might just be speaking about the skill level of gankers haha.

Re: The Men in Tights
Yeah, it doesn't prepare you that well against experienced duelists, but it will definitely make fighting 3v1 questers easier. One of the best moments as a player was when i beat 3v1 at Anor Londo without a shield. I think i used Mura/Great Scythe in right hand and estoc/bow in left. It was so intense that i had to take a short break from playing. After i killed the host, i received a message saying "what cheats are you using?".
But still, guys like Roan and Reim just beat the crap out of me in FC. Go figure...

I used to be on equal footing with Reim, but now I can barely land a parry.
Yeah I think Forest PvP is definitely the most exhilarating, plus who doesn't love being the under dog?

Re: The Men in Tights
I'm sure I'd also share that sentiment.. If I were playing and had my game
Then again I gave up non-organised or friendly PvP a good time ago. It was bad enough trying to wade through the crap to find a both a challenging opponent who also wasn't gonna be cheap, or fight in a boring way (turtle, parry spam etc.)
I suppose I should be glad I'm not facing all the glitchers now..

Re: The Men in Tights
Try facing glitching gankers with 99 DB's, 77 poise, one shot backstabs and 2.7k health who disconnect if you beat them. I wanted to revive the MiT, but it seems like for the time being invading just isn't even worth it. Hosting is where it is at.

I don't know what a DB is... :|
But yeah, that sounds like a pretty lame invading experience now.. Then again even if glitchers host I'm sure random invasions are still alive and kicking. I always enjoyed those (even if I knew I really wasn't wanted)

Divine Blessings, essentially by the time I swing my Murakumo, they have full health even if they are standing in front of me. If you can't oneshot someone, you won't beat them.

Re: The Men in Tights
I've been testing my man in tights and i enjoy the build very much. I've had some sweet 2v1 victories with it. And people must be embarrassed at losing to a guy who uses pharis hat and leather armor, since no one has sent me any hatemail.
About the state of pvp... Hosting is the best solution if you want fair duels. I haven't invaded in burg or kiln in a long long time. I only invade if i expect to be ganked. It doesn't bother me, it just takes a different state of mind.

Re: The Men in Tights
Yeah fin I thought that about the MiT. I like the fact it's devoted to anti gankers, theres not enough active opposition against them (though that mass invasion of the forest day was pretty damn fun )

Re: The Men in Tights
What I always loved about us is that we were Anti-Ganker, but if I do recall in the rules we aren't to be rude to them. My memory is a bit hazy, but we are to deter ganking on every level. In defeating them, making a better example, and talking with them trying to convince them to end the evil cycle.

No, it was just a bow. As well hatemail was always against the rules, however Sillymail was perfectly acceptable.

Re: The Men in Tights
I never send any hatemail. I don't understand the point of it. But i have argued and trolled people if they have sent me something first.
By the way. I think i can post some MiT action in few days. Probably early next week.

"Scrub hunter, l2p and don't backstab me just cause you fraid to fight us hed on!"
"Sir if you don't start speaking in proper english, I will be forced to apply my longsword directly to your forehead!"
One of my more favorite lines I've sent to a ganker.
Sounds Excellent on those videos.

Re: The Men in Tights
I guess I should switch to my Demon Great Axe and buff it with DMB+3 to use on the gankers with Hornets. But I'd rather actually fight people.
