Heh, if you want a test try taking both on at once solo. Nothing like kiting them around for 20 minutes, taking pot shots at Ornstein when he charges you...

I have managed that more or less... with a greatshield and spear. Poke poke.

Yeah, that's what I did. Surprisingly, it was actually easier when I did it on NG++...

Same for me on ng+ when I had DS Spear and Greatshield of Artorias. Same tactic.

Jason here - I beat O+S as a SL1, for EnB's Class Challenge thing - but I used only Firebombs and Throwing Knives - I cheesed Super Ornstein with poison TK's

guys i have a question..since this is my first playthrough. i dont want to level up quickly my character as much as possible since i read about the rule regarding to the summons. my sl is 42 and i just defeated O&S. is it ok?

gotta love that dodging

Thats all up to preference. If you remain a low level you will find the game progressively more difficult but as Jason has proven skill can pretty much accomplish anything.

thanks guys. now i have the idea. well it is ok if im levelling slower as long as i can use the equipments i want

I am beginning to think that there are no more honorable players on xbox. Everybody ganks, spawn camps, heals mid combat, or lagstabs. Dough when I do upload my pvp I hope you judge it on my efforts rather than results because I am losing more often than not. I have only had about 4 fair duels. One of which I won, another in which my opponent messaged me afterwards to tell me he had exactly 1 hp left, and two others where I lost to backstabs (still fair loss though). I really hate this I won't lie; the problem is I can't seem to get invaded so I have to use the red sign soapstone which draws all of the aforementioned types of players to me like scavengers to a fresh corpse. Does anybody have any advice? I doubt my struggles to survive will earn me my desired class so I need to figure out how to get more reasonably fair fights (I don't mind any tactics except the ones mentioned above).

I find that winning in PvP is all down to mobility and timing.

If they cant hit you you cant die.

I'll throw down my mid roll knight straegy here soon.
