Hello all , I am Abiathar 82 on here , PSN is Dehsean , Dark Souls character name is Athena and my real name is Sean. I have been playing DS for about 3 weeks now , my soul Lvl is 105. I am mainly a DD type character. I chose Pyromancy since a lot of forums said it was a good starting class , but I hardly ever use it. I usually rock a BK GS sometimes a BK GA. Also like the Manserpant GS quite a bit and Artorias. I have played more RPG/Dungeon Crasher games than I can count but am really liking DS so far. Anyway hello again and thanks for the awesome site.

I have been playing Dark Souls since it's launch. I have sporatically come to this forum for information for a while now. You guys are a real asset to the community. I thank you. I just found this computer at work isn't WEBSENSED so when I cover for someone, I can actually get to this site, lol.

Dark Souls-wise, I only recently went on an achievement whoring rampage and did the XBL equivalent to "platinuming" it. Just taking a little break from playing it to finally get to my other games that I'd been neglecting until the DLC hits. The furthest playthrough I've gotten to is NG+++ and I mostly play PvE. I have only recently started a SL 120 PvP toon. I haven't even invaded anyone yet. I mainly play as a DEX melee build. I typically start as the Thief cuz I like starting with the key. My favorite weapon currently is the BSS. I like to use all kinds though just to entertain myself. When I'm invaded I'll bow only if it looks like the invader is attempting a "fair fight", otherwise I've learned to just attack first and ask questions later.

Other games I've lost myself to in the past like Dark Souls? Not many. Some of my favorites are FFxi, Castlevania SotN, Elder Scrolls III, IV, & V, Geometry Wars, and, of course, Demon's Souls.

In the real life, I'm an actor with a crappy day job in healthcare radiology. Recently I've been doing a lot of improvisational comedy. Next week a troupe I'm in (No Parchment Needed) is making a trip down to mid CA to perform at a the Northern CA RenFaire. In Oct, I'll be scaring the crap out of people at a local haunted cornfield and who knows what I'll be cast in besides.

I really feel for you, it just seems like you haven't been able to kick this thing which makes me very sad. Truly.

Sadly it isn't just that, my father has had a heart attack and that is exactly what his father died from at around the same age. Currently operating on 15% functionality in his heart, so visiting him when I can have the strength to leave the house is fairly difficult.

I feel like I bogged things down with my stuff, remember to introduce yourselves people.

i'm new to this forum i'm also new to dark souls. I'm 15 my favorite bands are the beetles queen the who tenacious d Alice in chains and many others.my favorite books are the legend of drizzt series and the rangers apprentice series. i'm not to good at games but i play um anyway because i love um and want to be good.

Indeed welcome Mag, I hope you enjoy your stay. As you probably know there are a few sections of the forum that might call to you, such as since you mentioned you struggle with games sometimes the player trade and help section might be something you'll be interested in. Never feel afraid to ask for help, everyone has to start somewhere. I still remember when rats killed me constantly.

Hello there, I am rather new to the forums as a member... though I did creep around them as a guest for a while before actually signing up...

Anyway, I play on the Xbox under the gamer tag Set_Ab0minae (the O is a zero, someone already had the normal spelling...) and I can generally be found on Dark Souls, Soul Calibur V, or Assassins Creed Rev Multiplayer... Generally using a name referencing the Dark Tower, Song of Ice and Fire, or something pony related... Been playing Dark Souls since day one and am fascinated to no end by the lore.

I am a college student working toward becoming a special education teacher. I'm also a clerk at a horrible pharmacy somewhere in New York... So when I'm not in class, I'm usually there, dealing with sick/stupid people. Outside of those things, I like to write, read, and am currently a fill-in singer in a crappy band that covers old rock/metal songs (power/speed, don't have the vocal requirements for the screechy and gravelly stuff).

Also, I like using ellipses for some reason when I write online... Not sure why, it's sort of how I speak in real life too so it just kind of translates that way when I write... That's about it, see you guys around the forums!

Whats up forum? virgin poster, but i been lurking about for a while.. its interesting reading about everyone else who suffers with 'dark souls addiction'. I rented the game thru lovefilm in November 2011 and still not returned it, had it a year !! Cant wait for PTD to hit xbox so I can finally send it back..
Anyone kno for sure if we can use existing toons to access the new content ? I have an sl50 im chilling before killing O&S and getting lordvessel..

Nearly 1000 hours invested, got about 5 toons and a very nglected girlfriend.
Hardest thing i found in pve was joining dark wraiths. Thing I still havent done pve yet is let lautrec kill the firekeeper ? armour of FaP any good ?
Love the way the game has evolved, first play thru was all pve now its all about the burg and lloyds talisman.

on the subject of the lautrec questline, its usually better to let it run its course, unless you just want the RoFaP. you can get the dingy armor set i believe, as well as (if you never wanna use the FLS bonfire again) a firekeepers soul. if you decide to return it to the firekeeper, then after you place the lordvessel and give it a lord soul(most likely 4 kings) she will kindle the FLS bonfire once for free(making it the only bonfire that requires 1 humanity to fully upgrade). all in all, its better to let the questline run its course, though lautrec is a pain with those shotels of his. 3 well placed WoTG fixed that though XD

Hey-o. I'm new to the forum, but I'm not new to the Souls games. On console I beat Demon's Souls and Dark Souls two or three times (though never NG+. By the time I got there I tended to get bored of my characters and would rather start new guys). I recently picked up the PC copy of the game, so now I'm back into it and here I am! I'm mainly a PvE player, I enjoy PvP but I'm pretty bad at it. I also like lore, so I'll probably share some of my baseless assumptions at some point.

New here as well, though have been playing Dark Souls on and off since it was released, but am now determined to really play it to the end, and to learn PvP, though prefer jolly co-op to be honest.

Really into RPG's and such, and simulations. Love the odd racing game and platformer...
