Darkmoon Invasion levels...

Seriously though, I've been invaded by a level 74 Darkmoon on my level 18 character before, and I've been invaded by a level 412 Darkmoon on my forest covenant member, who has about 500 sin. I'm interested in what you all think of this.

It's interesting, no doubt, though this is something that I'd hope From Software would alert us about.

It pretty much makes us look at PvP completely differently.

you could do some tests. Get someone at like SL 10, got to a lol pvp area and have them slowly commit sin until you invade them, see what happens.

All I know is I'm constantly getting invaded by darkmoons twice my level. And I do mean constantly; and I do mean twice my level.

yea im pretty sure dm can invade down no matter the level. Honestly its hard to tell by hp cause you really dont get that much after 50vit but i notice TONS of dms who obviously have at least 50 vit 50faith and 40str 45dex and of course 12 casts of wrath. how could you pvp without 12 casts of wrath....

A good way of telling what level they were is by how many souls you get when you kill them.

Still, win or lose, it gets tiresome being invaded by people twice your level.

Edit: pssh, and I'm not the only one! You're at +3 in a matter of minutes because of that -1.

My average invasion as a dm is 3/4s my sl or above. I get the odd invasion below that, mostly in the kiln or against bb glitchers but my 80 invades >40 2% of the time, >60 25% of the time 60-90 73% of the time. The same is true with my other builds but my 80 is the one I kept track with.

Its an interesting theory, I really hope someone tests it formally.

We've been really good about not generalising and judging the bad with the good, lets stick to the discussion of the mechanics please. The thing is invading with sl appropriate gear, a sl 120 against a 300 isn't one sided just difficult, where 2 sl 60's when 1 is in maxed gear and one is in +10 or below is ridiculously so. (it can be overcome but still)
