Server - Murakumo - Flamberge

My current build is very noobish. It's based on minimum str and dex. And boosting vit and end. I plan on turning every weapon I get either lightning or fire or chaos. Iv never used these weapons so I'm wondering which one is the best to use?

there really is no "best weapon". i would say try them all out on your own and just see what one you feel most comfortable with. i personally think the flamberge might work out best for you as its pretty easy to use and has a decent move set. the murakumo and server are great(personally i prefer the murakumo) but they are kinda hard to get the hang of, however once you do they are amazing. i find curved greatswords work best when you dont lock onto your opponent. so if your not used to that flamberge might be a better choice for now. oh and unless you know your going to always have 10 humanity i would go with +10 fire over +5 chaos.

i love the server and flameberg, flamberg is a very underused weapon and its actually really good, yet another reason why dex has better weapon than my beloved str builds.

Of the weapons you listed, definitely go with the Lightning Murakamo+5. Server is only good at getting you killed against someone using an actually decent weapon, and Flamberge is OK but Murakamo easily beats it.

Chaos Server is what I'm currently using. Less range and stat scaling than the Mura, but I love it because of its lore.

No but seriously, I think the Murakumo is an excellent weapon to play with.

Caestus is the best weapon. I really don't think there is any debate on this.

So should I get str to 28 or keep it at 20 and just 2 hand it?

if your just min stating these the sever only requires 24 str and has practically the same damage when elemental. and it has the exact same moveset as the murakumo. as for the flamberge, only greasword in the game that inflicts bleed so you can stunlock most people and bleed them, each has its benefits.

Murakumo is a solid weapon, though it's a bit tricky to use until you get used to it. Has a slow start up speed but is a stun locking beast. As mentioned it is also great at dead angling people. If you want to go balls out I'd suggest only the minimum strength to 2h it, then pump up dexterity for the scaling while using a +15 version and a buff for insane damage.

Both are viable, just depends on your preference. DMB locks you into Darkmoon invasions which I don't really like so I tend to use CMW. With 32 int and TCC(tin crystal. cat) you can pump out some really good damage for the least sl investment. With DMB most people pump faith to 40 and then have the benefit of TWoP and WOG if you're into that sort of thing.



Personally I don't really care about a measley 50 ar one way or the other so the CMW option is less costly and allows you to be in any covenant you want. Not to mention you can play around with chameleon and other useful spells while you're at it.
