    Well it took awhile, but i proud to say my 6 year old son has now killed every boss in the game.
    He used npc co-op help when he could and played offline. i had to help clear most of the mobs in each area but the boss fights were all him. He just beat gwyn and didnt even parry once, instead he showed me his own way he worked out while dying lots. He danced around the small rock pillars and counter attacked when gwyns attacks were blocked by the rock.

    Now he just needs to get better at clearing areas/mobs out.

    Anyways me = 1 proud mum(mom for those from the usa)

    Phenomenal. I have a four year old that has just started on the lego series of video games and it amazes me how quickly he has picked it up.

    Did he have any issues with the content of the game being scary or disturbing?

    DS is definitely not gory, but some of the creatures I could see as being scary.

    thats pretty awesome. my 16 moth old can hold the controller correctly now, guess thats an improvement?

    Nice Mildred, glad he's finally done it big grin

    That sounds like the gwyn tactic I used before I could parry silly

    Just teach him how to run round the mobs and BS them, he'll be fine cheers

    We havnt had a problem yet. I think i look at it this way, most people are affraid of what they dont know/understand. My kids understand that video games are not real, they are fun make believe worlds. They love to have fun roleplaying these games(my daughter is the best zombie) so if they see and enjoy this kind of play they cant be scared of it.... Hope you understand what im trying to say.

    He is a lot better at six than I was (well I only played three games Halo, Fusion Frenzy and Project Gotham City Racing). That a shame.

    Lol funny you should say that....

    I have been training him on the new londo DW and hes getting good at farming them. He did 2hours of farming the other day and only died twice. He had fun playing and i got 2slabs. Win, win.

    Completely get what you are saying. We do the same with our four year old and continue to stress to him the difference between reality and movies/games. So far so good, but with a four year old you don't always get clear feedback that they understand. Obviously, a 6 year old has a much better comprehension of these concepts. It never ceases to amaze me how much kids absorb and change in such a short period of time.

    Amazing! I remember when you first posted that he had problems trying to beat Ceaseless Discharge! Look at him now!

    I bet he finish Skyrim in less than 2 hours.

    When I was 6, I played Pokemon on my Gameboy Color.

    Yeah it was Purple.

    I must find my 14 year old Gameboy.

    I have a PS1 that is the same age as that Gameboy and it still works, stuff was just made better back then.

    I don't think my Xbox is going to last that long.
