thoughts about divine blessings

I always have them equipped now, and i am trying to get enough so that i can dupe them for all my toons. I know some people use spam them during "duels", but i only use them in 3 different situations. 1, if it’s a gank, they are faster than humanity so i probably won’t get hit while healing. 2, if my opponent heals i will heal too and then continue. 3, if my opponent starts using mobs (if i am the host) or if he tries to summon someone.
What are your thoughts about using them?

PS. I would love to have a DS duel where both have 99 DB and are allowed to heal .

theyre so annoying specially becasue invader pop them left and right when they run away and it tkaes about half a second to comsume them.

I have no issue with them, just with tools who run off to heal every 12 seconds

Yeah, i hate people like that. I fought a vader in the depths while farming humanity. He used a least 30 DBs, as soon as he took any damage he would run away to heal. I got tired of him so i put on hornets and OHK him.

I just wanted to know if people have anything against using them in situations like these.

well they are glitching to get that many. i ran into this guy in full smoughs using them(in the burg...) and i kept bsing him and he couldnt hit me and i eventually just quit out to piss him off lol. i could have beat him but i like to show those people that i dont have to fight by their rules. if im called a ***** who cares. i also quit out if people are lagging beyond a certain extent. i would rather just move onto an actual match.

edit: if i quit out of a match where someone was lagging, and they werent doing nothing but trying to bs or they clearly were not using it to their advantage i send a pm explaining and appologizing. but still i dont have to fight people if i dont feel like it.

I prefer beating them, while they are using "cheap" tactics. To show them that they can’t always win just because they heal all the time or something like that. Sure i might lose about half of the time, but for me it’s still worth a shot.

If you don't heal in PvP there's no reason to use them. However, if I were a Forest Hunter I'd eat the **** out of them.

@Fruit--I also dip if it's super laggy or if I run into the same dude over and over who's fishing hard.

There is little diference about DeS and DkS heals:
A player who glitch to get 99 blessings would have a huge advantage of someone like me, I must have about 3 in the bottomless box. Also, Estus is slower and is capped at 20

same damageck. i always give people at least 1 chance. what really sucks is if someone is lagging really bad( a japanese player) and they seem like they would be really fun to fight, but the lag just ruins it.

Thats how I feel about europeans. All 7000 miles away. I get backstabed by people a good 15 feet out.

That happens in the Burg sometimes. Run into someone with a shortsword and plank shield fighting naked, but it lags the whole time.

it’s not our fault that we live far away.

yea i agree its not peoples fault. sometimes its obvious if they are abusing it(ive noticed a huge boost in the amount of people in burg and forest using what seems like a lag switch or some dl program that causes lag). most of the time the foreign players are more fun to fight, but i like fighting them not lag.

im from uk and i duel in FC with american players all the time and people who are thousands of miles away and i gotta say ive never noticed massive lag, unless its a random vader

East coast would be my guess. I live in washington state. The japanese players almost never lag terribly but europeans are all over the place a lot of the time.


On topic, assuming you're not in a duel, its fine. If they're better than you just die instead of going through 30 of them though. Thats just no fun to deal with.

I use them when:

1. My opponent heals.
2. 1vs3
3. I get BS by a hornet.

never use them, i wont lower my standards just because my foe has their own standards. To do so would be insulting myself.

My standard outside of duels is: win.
In duels (as in both parties bowed) I don't heal, thats my only rule there.

I generally refuse to run, mostly because I want to be remembered as "that guy" who stood his ground against 3 claymores and killed everyone, no healing or ambushes, pure martial prowess.

i think people are overexaggerating their speed... they are fast but if you are running away and get a decent distance then it really doesnt matter between 1 second to use divine blessing and 1.5 second to use humanity... i dont know what all the fuss is about

Because they can be used in combat without running away due to their speed.

@Chaos Rave Dude they are frigging fast. Way faster than even estus.
