i think it depends on what your oppponent is wearing, with 40str and 10 dex a zwei +15 does around 200-300 dmg.

I think most players use it because it shows one of the highest AR of the game. The thing they don't know is that it's split damage!!!! LOL

I think they know it is split damage, I dont think most people understand the significance of that. I mean if you didnt frequent here would you know that split damage was less effective?

you can test both in pvp and see which one does more damage though but people tend to go with whatever seems like the strongest weapon.

I wouldn't know actually. At least, I wouldn't understand why split damage is such a big deal. And when I see a Zwei, I assume they're going to Hornet BS. I'm rarely wrong. However, I usually just counter BS once so they'll switch to roll attack spam. Easy parry.

You seem to be fighting the "smart" guys. When i counter BS someone they usually just try to Bs me again.

Why is split damage vs not so significant? Is it because of resistances in armor effecting armor twice or what?

Got it in one, if your using an ele weapon the elemental damage gets reduced by the elemental resistance and the physical by the physical and since the lower the AR the armour has to absorb the greater the proportion is absorbed that results in lower damage output (most of the time)
