I dont think I like this idea at the moment. Maybe some time in the future, not for now.

Re: Lordran's Deliverance
Forum I'm with you this time; nobody will prestige just to be nerfed like that. The Brass and Moonlight gear should be reserved to top members as I have said before. Honestly though I think the crown would be sufficient for an avatar as it is the symbol of Gwyndolin.
Anyways if Zack doesn't like it we don't do it so not for now. Lets keep it simple for now and get more complicated once we are on our feet.

Again, you could just have it be the straight up title and not have an item "reward" yet/ever.
People are drawn to rewards; even something as low as a title will get challengers. Just ask Dough how quickly I earn the prestiges for the knights...

Yah, I think titles are mostly enough. Personally. Haha.
That's why I like the Brass eset being available to anyone, not just high ranking.

Soooooo, if you're both seraphs, either of you making bassandra? Lol.
What about the armor restriction I mentioned? That would be easier.

Re: Lordran's Deliverance
I support the Avatar idea to a point but I don't think it should be a priority right now.
My one solace is that the Brass set isn't super popular so I should be one of the few anting to use it. I like being unique what can I say.
Uh which armor restrictions forum? We have been discussing a lot of stuff.

I can understand that.
How would it work? Rank 4+? And people get to change their class when they get there if they want?

Re: Lordran's Deliverance
It would be a pyramid. Harbingers get only 3 or 4 choices but those choices are off limits untill then, compatible weight wise with lower ranked class options.Forum Pirate wrote:I totally won't go for the coolest name..............oh wait I ment will.
Restrict higher ranked players to a smaller set of classes?
Set it up so the weights/defense is fairly close, build for the higher ranked one, then use the lower untill you've earned it

Re: Lordran's Deliverance
Hmm forum's idea could work actually. Higher ranks get a "prestige" so to speak in that they het access to a new set of armors more closely tied to Gwyndolin (Brass, Black (Velka but close enough), etc)

Re: Lordran's Deliverance
Instead of just listing acceptable armor sets, you could create some classes with lore for them. The Brass Set could be those who perform specific rituals and rites for the covenant, the Knight Armor could be an "army", Painting Guardian can be Scouts and Spies, Black Iron and Giants could be the elite guards of the Temple, etc.
In this way, people could start off as a basic soldier, then become a higher ranked Officer, then be chosen as an Elite Guard.

Re: Lordran's Deliverance
They already have the area lore. Class lore is a bit much. Unles you want to make classes have areas which is a bad idea.

Hmm lets not get too in depth yet. Lets finalize the armor situation first then worry about that, if we chose to do so.

Re: Lordran's Deliverance
Glad you understood what I ment, l wasn't sure I explained it well enough.
A quick example would be starting as a black iron, but at 4 or 5 you switch to giants

Re: Lordran's Deliverance
So forum perhaps we should keep the generic knight gear and whatnot for lower levels and then have Giants, Black, Brass, and some others for upper levels. Is this your idea? Keep generic for lower levels and cov tied gear for upper level more or less?

Sun you should have links in your sig. Just yous the names of the covs for them. It'll help advertise, especially new ones like this.

Re: Lordran's Deliverance
More or less. I was thinking stats or looks but either way works as long as lower ranks get the 3 poise break spots, (also at the poise break spots)for roughly the same weight as what they'll upgrade to. Earn the cool armor, and let it signify your rank.

Re: Lordran's Deliverance
Okay linked all of the cov threads in my sig.
Forum I think we will probably have poise scattered all over the place since we are using whole sets as opposed to custom made sets like the Lifehunters.

Re: Lordran's Deliverance
I'm sure it will be. I just ment 1 at or above 41, 1 at or above 53, and 1 at or above 76.
Every rank should get that, so they're not rebuild their character as they advance.

Re: Lordran's Deliverance
Hmm I think Brass nails 41 exactly and the heavy sets should get over 76 but I'm not 100% sure about in between. I shall look at armors.
I can only hope to be as good at it as you Dough.

Re: Lordran's Deliverance
The giant's set minus head gets 77 Poise. You could throw on a hood or something. Maiden Hood would actually probably go well with the tabard on the Giant chest.
