Sorry Dan I'm one soul you won't be corrupting anytime soon. Only Molag Bal can do that and this isn't Elder Scrolls.

Re: Lordran's Deliverance
Wait what, Molag bal is an awful corruptor no subtlety and patience, besides killing a guy who flips out and attacks me is hardly corruption.
How do you know this isnt what happens if the dragons won in elder scrolls age of dragons(cannot think of a good game)---> age of fire (dark souls) ----> age of man(TES)---> age of dragons
every time the big hero does not save the current age or chooses to end it it clicks round one

Re: Lordran's Deliverance
No but A) Forcing a person to murder me in cold blood damning his soul is (Oblivion) and B) Beating a person beyond death until they submit to Molag Bal is (Skyrim).
Kill them, they are weak you are strong, kill them. Sorry had another Molag moment. Dang you Elder Scrolls thread!

Its all in where you're invading, at what sl, with what gear. Most of my invasions are people within 10 sls who know what they're doing.dancash1808 wrote:Of my darkmoon invasions one was a hacker, 3 were a guy with phantoms waiting for invasions. 2 were good close matches and the rest just struck me as hopelessly out of their depth.

Re: Lordran's Deliverance
No, but initially when you first walk into that house the other guy attacks you and then he praises you like you somehow gave in by defending yourself... that bit was really dumb if you ask me >.>
the next bit was a bit evil yeah, (damn I need to play morrowind some more)
and good!
and forum I was like 60-90 somewhere around there, afraid I dont remember exactly...

Re: Lordran's Deliverance
I invade at sl 120 with maxed gear in Anor Londo. I almost always face groups or well prepared duelists.
Dan he praises you to lure you into his trap to force you to carry out his will therefore submitting to him.

Re: Lordran's Deliverance
Well, it irritated me >.> Wish I had had one of those illusion charm spells with me to see what happened.
Frankly in terms of that quest it was the bribe that motivated me to being amoral and then because there was no better path (as far as I know)
the mace turned out to be a total waste because I accidentally stumbled over a now incredibly well known glitch to get two dawnbreakers which were my weapons from then on

Re: Lordran's Deliverance
Meh I don't exploit glitches so thats useless to me. I don't do Molag's quest on my actual roleplay characters as it is clearly evil.

Re: Lordran's Deliverance
I didn't exploit it I wasn't even aware it existed. I used firestorm during the fight, saw the dawnbreaker on the floor. picked it up went to the altar. shrugged and counted myself lucky and googled it out of curiosity like a week later xD

Re: Lordran's Deliverance
Ahh, fair enough although 100 enchantment daedric daggers with sufficent soul gems kind of render everything else irrelevant. I miss the days of oblivion when I struggled to scrape the coin together for a purchase, was crushed when the glass sword in the fighters guild was a replica. and didnt want to use enchanted weapons because I needed to level armourer. good times

Re: Lordran's Deliverance
Morrowind, I never got into it early enough. I can see me really enjoying a game like that but I was not even aware of TES till a little while after oblivion came out. and I have never put the effort in to get into morrowind...

Re: Lordran's Deliverance
Its so much better. Nothing scales, so many places are uber dangerous for a long time, while others are almost always safe. None of the slaughtering dremora lords or golden saints either, they're both super rare and attempting to fight 1 before level 20 or so is suicidal at best.

I never could get into Morrowind thought the lack of scaling sounds good; I hate when items and enemies scale. I still have a copy for the xbox around somewhere but it always just felt kinda clunky. I have to ask though, did you ever use the perma summon glitch to create an army? It lags your game like crazy if you actually get into combat with it but it's hilarious and oddly satisfying to have an army follow you.

Re: Lordran's Deliverance
I hate scaling with a passion, it removes the difficulty and does not reward you for overcoming difficulty. It's just argh (although I was satisfied when skyrim was difficult running through the last mission at lv 5 ish on expert.)

Re: Lordran's Deliverance
Scaling annoys me further when unique items must be obtained only at a high level or they suck rather than simply making them hard to obtain and then rewarding the player for overcoming a challenge with a great item.

Re: Lordran's Deliverance
^ that was exactly what I was thinking of when I said it punished me for overcoming it when it is more difficult. In oblivion I prefered to either level fast at the start or stay at 1 and usually stayed at 1...
