My luminary build is my first PvP character who doesn't have at least 56 poise. Im only really having trouble against some spears and some Rapiers so it's not bad at all with 49 poise.

I can outplay greatswords and such easily by evading , when Im not rusty offcourse hahaha

Yeah - your toon with 49 poise should be good to go.I don't have problems with rapiers or spears too much (other than you of course) - I have difficulty with katanas - not because of the bleed but the forward thrust attack. I need to fight more against that weapon. I have fought two guys who knew how to use katanas and I got slaughtered.

Peeve's new forest hunting vid. I do a bit of help in there too! I get TWOP BS'd,but manage to get up and do my duty for Alvina.

Fun thing happened last night. I was beatin down the gank and super high level campers when a darkwraith invaded me and then just unloaded his entire inventory for me. After 5 minutes of dropping NG+ worth of goodies he and BC'd out. I asked him why and he said he was making a new character and I just happened to be the first person he ran into before he did just that. Thanks Dai Ichi!

Ok. That inspired me. I'm down for a war against the gank, as Rant put it. I'm afraid that high level gankers may be too good for me (as of now, but just wait).

So I have 2 questions:

1. What is a good midlevel antiganker toon?

2. What is the SL range you invade as a hunter (i.e. i'm 70, what is the range of people I invade)?

Okay now you should keep your 75 or whatever toon capped at 80 so you can invade me when I host...now moving on!!

I would suggest as you seem interested in the mura to make a new 120 hunter toon and cap him around 170 or so then you will still see crazy action!

With the Mura you need to 1st of all be able to one hand it to fully take advantge of the moveset....2nd be able to buff a shinny buff on that bad boy and lastly have the poise to roll up to 2 gankers while 2 handing that beast of a glow stick and stunlock the both of them...if there is 3 you will even stunlock the whole herd!

The only reason I say you need 2 be able to one hand it is for the jump attack the 2 handed thumps down and will only hit one...then one hand does a huge arc and will smoke a few gankers!!

With regards to lvl's that you will invade even tho Alvina could send you anywere...the lvl's you will be invading are usually pretty damn close to your own for the most part!!

You don't think 170 will be too high for my newb skill level at this? The gankers seem pretty good at that level.

Although a crystal or yellow glowstick does sound devious. Imagine a HR BS on that one.

I assume you have to be human to use the cat ring?

2 side notes. 3 in a row at SL 80. And, I just ran into a real lag switch user. He would stop for about 1 second, teleport behind me and BS me.

Well I think you will need a 120 build to get the buff and stats to wield the Mura properly...I would build your way up to 170 or so as you get more comfortable destroying gankers...only if you need to if not stay at 120!

I invade and hunt at 120 and usually don't run into many gankers that are so OP I can't kill them...when I hunt with my 225 I get to the cream of the ganking crop...That is were the seriously gankers hang out at since they do nothing but gank for souls and some of them are very very hard to beat!!

Also Reim the second you trigger the invasion while your still in your world get rid of the cat ring and quickly equip the ring of your choice...you don't wanna show up to the party unprepared

Holy I just can't shut up also Reim use everything you can to your advantage... when you spawn by the trents trigger them all and then go to were shivas armor is and stand behind the 4 trents and wait...throw a well what is it out to taunt them into attacking lol...usually by this time support has shown up

Also if you spawn midway between the stairs and the Shiva's armor cliff IMMEDIATELY do recon. Run towards the cliff slightly and look for trees. If they're dead there's many Plan B options. If they're alive they are my favoritest friends. Either way look toward the stairs. If you see white or gold get ready for da gank! If you decide to use the trees the best tactic is to start near the wall and then go back along that, then cut to the middle of the forest and lure anyone pursuing back and forth a time or two THEN to the cliff area. This way you can get them in aggro range of not four trees, but around ten. I've had hosts unable to move. Completely closed in by evil trees.


Another good tip is, for any spawn point that's not the stairs, do a 360 with the camera as you're spawning. At that time, any hostile life bars will momentarily flash on the screen and you can see where the attack will come from.

Awesome vid Knuf, I can't do the RTSR trick without dropping poise because I use the Ring of Fap but I can't believe those idiots keep falling for it. I always wonder what they're thinking when they get hit for 1600 damage from a normal attack.

I'm a bit too scared to constantly parry like he does, but it looks like he's really winning a lot of them... I really need to learn to parry lol.

Bad day for me in the forest. Outta practice I won barely any of my ifghts. Ebding up quitting after 2 matches in a row against an inccredibly laggy pair, whom both times I dealth doubel their hp in damage before I died.

Invade while hollow - good news, no unnecesary people invading me.
Trees - good idea.

120 SL? That will be hard with a buffed mura and still have decent vitality. Unless I go with 30 faith.

Any ideas? I can make a 50 Int one and get to 147, with 40 Vit and 40 End.

I think 30 fth is plenty for a decent buff on the mura Reim throw the MOM on and call it a day! lol you don't have to hindered by stopping the build do it around the 120 mark with 30 fth and I think you'll be more than happy!!

Plenty of fights at any level. It will attempt to pair you with levels close to yours first but then cycles away if it can't find any. Sometimes you get pushover 700 level guys. Makes me smile to kill them

I am fighting two gankers in heavy armor+family mask+DWGR+divine blessings. They must be SL300ish and I am 168. Hell, I am really pissed off and without a clue of what should I do.

Edit: oh, better. Now, there is a similar gank, but with a blue by their side (he taunts me and is with them). I love this.
