Defensive is a combat strategy, not a build.. there is no tanker class in this game..
with the only exception, you get a fully upgrade armor set + element claymore + Lvl6 Knight to troll newbies at Burg

I've always wanted to do a "Spartan" build with the stone greatshield and the pike, with Balder leggings, bare chest, and Havel's helm I guess. It would just be a turtle build, but some people do it well and with practice, you can get good at any playstyle.

It's very defensive! You can block with the best shield in the game and still with max stamina and near max stamina regen! You can block indefinitely, and you can still attack (r1, or poison them or something).
