    The greataxe Empty The greataxe

Post by Spurgun Sun Jul 01, 2012 5:52 pm

Since Forum said that DkS Gaxe is The greataxe 2324285107compared to DS i have not used it. But i started using it on my strength builds, and IMO it’s really good. It may be short and a bit slow but it’s the lightest of all the great axes. And it only has ~50 less Ar than the DGA.
I like bating people with it’s attacks, trading blows with them. Which often leads to me stunlocking them and dealing ~1000 damage. I often atatck when i see them charging at me, so the i hit them before they hit me. And if someone tries to parry me then i just use it’s r2 - it’s slower but deals a lot of damage.

    FYI. This is my build.

Its the hitbox that kills it. Its just roll bs bait, and it doesn't dead angle or pivot fast enough to stop it.

You owned me when we fought today, lol. I was expecting you to do the roar then r1 so i rushed you knowing my GS could stagger you. I made a build with the Gaxe and i have to agree with other people, that it was a whole lot better in demons souls. I wish it still had the pound attack and that sweeping attack. You are one of the few people ive seen use it that doesnt just fish for bs.

I love that thing, the rolling attack is awesome for dead angling but hyes, I am sad that it doesn't have the ground poun d but the rolling attack is still good. I like using it withb a spear off hand to keep fishers away which works pretty good. I use it with my str build wich s in my sig if you wanna look at it.

I don't understand how anyone can dual wield. I can only focus on 1 form of attack at a time.

Dual wielding is awesome if your good at parrying, as soon as people see you without a sbhield they will be very predictable with their attacks since they don't think about getting parried.

I can parry, I suck at dual wielding. I have issues with casting and using a weapon at the same time, always end up dead because I times something wrong. A good opponent won't be fooled anyways.

Its very light and just a bit slower than a dagger, but with the moveset of a rapier. Is great for left hand, and has good crit damage for right hand.

I may have put a CMW buff on a mail breaker a few times and parried/BS'd a couple people...maybe just maybe!!!

Also I have had good luck with a great axe especially when buffed...if you keep your roll attacks random and unlocked and pretty much attack unlocked at all times the GA can deal some dmg and stunlock alot...also you need to be good at parrys to end fights if needed lol silly

I only use the roar against turtles or TWoP. And i rarely BS fish except for in ganks.
