Who is he? Where is he from? Why did he come to Lordran? Who are his friends/Lovers? Why did he join the Gravesworn? How did he join them? What was he before he joined them? What keeps him in the gravesworn? What is his overarching motivation?

If you can answer those questions they'll help you start your character.
