If you were to be summoned or you invaded, afterwards would you be sent back to your own time the exact same time you left? Or would you even return to your own world?

As chosen undead you would return to your time exactly where you left it, in your own world, as long as you dont die. If you die a bonfire like effect comes in. For the NPCs the only one we can really analyse in Solaire and Kirk. Solaire seems to return to his own time (he is a chosen undead) and Kirk seems to as well, despite not being it.

Judging by how when you return, you return with your health and your castings the same way way they were when you invaded or got summoned I'd say that you get returned to your world at the precise moment when you left it.

Meaning, one misses no time in his/her world.

Aye, but if you're bc'd or the host DC you return missing the casts you've used and the health you've lost.

because BCing or DCing interrupts the flow and causes a rapid destabilization dumping you into your world with the time you spent in the hosts world as well. The time energy thus goes into your world and causes the amount of time you spent there pass and what you used be used up.
