The Prince is a great book, along with the rest of Machiavelli's works. I also suggest a read of any other of his books, such as The Discourses on the First Ten Books of Titus Livy.densetsushun wrote:This. Also, you're pretty well readSoris Ice Goldwing wrote:

Re: Your Favourite Books
^ Sounds interesting I must make more time to read some of these books here. My school only has so many to go through, and I do intend to fill a life dream of having a large a study of books when I'm older. I just don't like reading anything from the web, it just does not grab my attention or gives me this a felling of peace like when I have a physical copy.

Re: Your Favourite Books
I imagine more have seen the film than read the book, but I can agree on it being a good book. I remember my dad passing on all of his old books to me when I was 17. Machiavelli's were some of them, and I read Les Miserables later. I'm sure he has his own copy though, I'm not sure why he never gave me it.

Brunner the Bounty Hunter, by C.L. Werner
One bad dude going around bustin' heads and colleting bounties in a dark fantasy world (Warhammer for those familiar with the game).
Its not deep... at all, but sometimes I just want to read about an average joe with brains vs big bad dudes and medieval monsters.
As for a "real" book, Guns Germs and Steel by Jared Diamond was a pretty good read. Sort of a crash course for dummy’s in world history, comparative religion, medical advancement, biology and world economy.
