Making a 40/40 build.

In all seriousness though...the longsword hits surprisingly hard. Are there any other things I can do to further push a build like this to the limit? I've never taken much interest into these types of builds until I decided to do a Crestfallen Warrior cosplay and would love to hear what other people run on their 40/40 builds.

EDIT: I might just change this thread to a place I dump some of my cosplays that are possible through this build, which is essentially almost everyone with a straight warrior profile. Here's some others I put together (quite a few use Havel's ring to increase equip load for fast roll, you can always change this and be a real man unlike me with mid roll):

thats a sexy build. all i say is drop the wolf ring your poise is pretty crappy anyway. i say either ring of steel protection or speckled plate ring. certainly a powerhouse tho have fun with it!

Thanks for the kind words! I tried the build without the poise given from the wolf ring and it's doable, just painful sometimes when you get stunlocked by a katana . Added a few other NPCs I plan to roll around as down the line after the Crestfallen Warrior gets me done in. I really want to finish the 27/40 faith variant I posted too. If anyone has any recommendations for that build actually to get it closer to 120 with 28 str intsead of 27 I'm all ears too. SLB on the murakumo is an option with that build though and the numbers I keep running scare me on how hard the mura would actually hit.

do what feels good for you in your builds. i for example can't run without a fast weapon its what feels right for me. experiment and see that you like

Can anyone recommend some good c/c or similar to try? Ive got a halberd to try next and the sunlight straight sword. How's the darksword? I have little experience with it but love the moveset.

Try type garg Halberd, reg Hal, mura, lucerne, clay/bastard gs and any C/C weapon you can find.

I use the regular scythe on my 40/40 and it never lets me down. It's moveset is random as *** too so if you keep switching between 1 and 2 handed you'll wreck em.

The Claymore will fufill all your C/C needs, and you'll be a BAMF while your at it

washing pole works well too... hand axe is okay... a rapier would be brutal also look into using the warpick.

The gargoyle halberd IS an excellent choice for a 40/40 build. Also consider man-serpent greatsword or the pike/sks.

I love my plain old 30/40 with rapier and claymore. I refuse to use elemental weapons anymore, the sound efx drive me insane.

I just made a 40/40/40/40 Shiva build and am enjoying very much..... no gimmicks for me!

What sl is it?

I have a shiva build i really like, its one of the more viable cosplays. It's the only build i use that uses dwgr, even though i know shiva doesnt technically use it. It's very fitting. http://tinyurl.com/d7fztcj
