Re: Soul Farming
you can try the painted world. I dont know what weapons/spells you have at your disposal, so it can vary in results. If you go in with wrath of god or a fire +10/Chaos +5 shotel you can take care of them real fast. Its about the same as the forest, but a tad easier...i guess. You could go down to the tomb of the giants and get the silver serpant ring, and farm there while you're at it.
Or pvp. Or glitch.

Re: Soul Farming
You can try painted world. Bring poison or toxic mist with you. Explore all map, then go back to bonfire, attune the mists, go and cast them against those mass of bodies with spears and shields (forgot the name). The poison or toxic will kill them no matter what, enjoy the free souls and kill all other mosnters around to get even more. Don't forget to equip the Silver serpent ring.
Another good area is dark anor londo, from the murdered Princess bonfire, you can go back your way to outside until you find two armored girls. Each one gives you 5000 souls in NG, use homeward bone or miracle
Edit: lol fruit

Re: Soul Farming
Yea the bonfires in anor londo are really weird. It will send you to the main anor londo bonfire a lot even if you didnt rest there, the one with the firekeeper. I suggest not killing her(shes down by the rotating bridge), it makes it a lot easier to warp back when you get sent there.

Re: Soul Farming
so i killed her and i regret it haha the hindrance on the bonfire travel is too much, will requesting absolution reverse the darkness? i know absolution will allow you to join the covenant again
farming can also be done on the two enemies in the hall. a homeward bone must be used after resting at the princess' bonfire.

No, if you request absolution for your sins the darkness in Anor Londo will not go away.

Re: Soul Farming
The Chest Mimic in the Duke's should drop it, the one on the way towards the crystal caves, by where Logan sells spells.
The Silver Serpent ring is in the Tomb of the Giants, you'll have to do some platforming there, basically https://youtu.be/CM52bov94E8
The ring increases the number of souls you gain from killing enemies, bosses, etc. The Symbol of Avarice does this, as well as increase your chances of finding items on dead bodies. Mind you, for finding items there is a discovery cap, which you can see on your character info tab. The Chest Head also drains health every second, so it goes well with spells like Replenish, and the Sanctus.

What happens if you do that? Does it mess up the game? I don't want to mess up my ng+ character.

Re: Soul Farming
It changes Anor Londo and some monsters disappear, and you'll be constantly invaded by darkmoons looking to punish you for being a damn sinner.

Re: Soul Farming
the false princess is in the room beyond the battle with smough and ornstein. if you attack her she will disappear, anor londo will turn dark and all the enemies will disappear and be replaced by two fairly strong women characters in the hal that used to have the giants. The fire keeper by the first bonfire also becomes agressive. killing her will render that bonfire useless but if you die in anor londo no matter what bonfire you rested at you will be respawned there instead
wyrm is right. you will be invaded ALL THE TIME if youre in human form of course. and you cannot join the dark monn blade covenant with out absolution
the silver knights are the only enemy i think that stays... not 100% sure though

Re: Soul Farming
My favorite place to farm is ToG at the second bonfire, just great chaos fire ball the skeleton dogs and run back to the bonfire.

Re: Soul Farming
With my +5 Ascended pyro flame you can one shot the skeleton dogs, I had the silver serpent ring on and I think it's about 8k every 30 seconds or so. It makes it significantly easier to have the sunlight maggot though that way you can cast and still see the dogs.
