I come to you today wanting some info on maximizing damage for the Stone Greatsword. I currently have it at +5 with 40 strength 10 dex doing 492 one handed. I'm curious about its TWoP effect too. How similar is it? Is it viable for pvp? Thanks for the info, guys!

It is viable, but is also heavier and slower than other greatswords. Hits hard, but watch out for parries, they'll be your main threat.
Good tip: stack up as much poise as you can and go for the stunlock. Try to deceive parriers by alternating between one handed R1 and R2 attacks. Its definitely a fun weapon

Re: Stone Greatsword +5
its viably like car said. i would go with a 40/40 build for mac damage but theres other gs that are better than it like the msgs, the sgs is so cool though.

Yeah I was kinda figuring that I would have to go for the 40/40. Right now I have a lvl50 coop toon and considering the low lvl all points went str then end and then vit. I'm gonna start up a pvp one tomorrow! Gonna limit my build to honorable pvp gear and tech. Thanks for the info, guys!

Thanks!
I found myself staring at the glowing flowers in darkroot while farming for the stone greatsword. I loved the way they looked all hypnotizing so I just had to make an avatar!

The split damage on it does sort of make it one of the weaker Greastwords for the requirements to wield it.

Yeah, initially I was thinking it was like MLGS, but then I realized that MLGS is all magic damage.

It's completely viable, though many players will call it dishonorable.

No one likes Twop because all anyone does with it is WoG/CSS spam or BSes.

You really can't honestly fight effectively if TWoPed, the only thing you could really use would be magic, and only stuff like wrath to try to save yourself.

Oh yeah! The second part to my longwinded question, lol. Is the TWoP from the sword exactly the same?

What? The only tradeoff is durability? Yeah that could be taken as dishonorable. Well looks like I'm not two handing this weapon, lol.

No it's only fair if you use it's TWoP. You have lower damage and split damage than other GSs. Go ahead use it the best you can just don't spam TWoP use it when your in trouble not at the beggining.

Re: Stone Greatsword +5
I have 2 builds with the SGS as the main weapon.
You have to realize people will get angry no matter what you use to beat them twop/stunning/Bsing included.
You are burdening yourself with a massively heavy and slow Strength intensive weapon with a split AR. The twop effect is a reward for this fact.
I usually only 2 hand it as the 40 str is too steep when i can just go 27 str and be just fine. I sacrifice parry but that is ok.
You could have bought one from Shiva in B town by the way, instead of farming lol.
It is also a great anti ganking weapon and good at ridding phantoms so you can take the host more seriously and direct.

The TWOP is better in every way.MudoRH wrote:Oh yeah! The second part to my longwinded question, lol. Is the TWoP from the sword exactly the same?
It leaves no physical trace it's occuring, no particle effect from the ground, so your opponent isn't sure when it's safe.
It lasts 3 more seconds.
And TWOP must wear off before being recast... the sword does not.
EDIT: The sword animation is also faster then casting TWoP.

I think you can also get the sword's effect off even if you are under the influence of Vow of Silence, unlike the spell version

It goes without saying that it's been a step above what I've been used to. I do feel a bit cheesy with the TWoP, but I'm trying not to abuse it. I'm gonna move onto a rapier now to give them a go.
Can't wait to find my weapon of choice. Till now I've been on the katana bandwagon, but experiencing all these other weapons brings a whole new level of excitement!

I've accidentally TWoP'd someone doing vow of silence, because i thought they were going to TWoP me.
