I think they are the same (ring is better, as said by Dough below), but if you wear both, your stamina recovers twice as fast than wearing just one.

Ring is actually better. You get a stacked effect from bth.

According to the wiki, the Ring supposedly regenerates just as fast as the GCS.

Mask of the Child and the Grass Crest Shield both give 'slight' increases to Stamina regeneration, the Cloranthy gives a higher amount and they all stack. 2 Grass Crest Shields, Mask of the Child, 2 Cloranthy Rings (because you don't care if they say you can't equip duplicate rings!), and a Bitter Herb, that's uncatchable!

Cloranthy ring is just a waste of a spot imo; just use the GCS and/or some Herbs.

Just rock the ring in a build and you'll soon know. It surpasses even the shield and blossom stacked....
I had a stamina build, with the mask, shield, and ring, (popping grass too obviously), it was great fun.
