What weapons would the God of War use?

I tried to make a cosplay of Gwyn's Firstborn. It was actually a representation of the broken sunlight altar. He used:

-the Dragonslayer Spear
-a Sunlight Straighsword buffed with Sunlight Blade
-Sunlight Shield
-Sunlight Talisman
-Gwyn's set and the Sunlight Maggot
-Great Lightning Spear and WoG
-Ring of the Sun and DWGR

He had 40 Dex, 40 Faith and 24 Str, maxed out AR of DSS. The thing is, I always have imagined the God of War wielding Str weapons, like a mace or axe. What do you guys think he wielded? I want to remake a cosplay of him.

I think the weapon at the altar is more reminiscient of a halberd type weapon. Strength is arms could stand for dex as well, there are different types of "strength".

A halberd looks like a fitting god of war weapon. I declare a new type of halberd, the Dragonslayer Halberd.

Well, the spear is the most widely used melee weapon in all of history. Makes sense to me that the god of war uses one.

I would like to see a better looking hammer.... And I dont mean just a large mace like the Demons Greathammer or Grant I mean a really big sledgehammer kind of weapon!

Agreed, a long handled polearm like hammer, more like a realistic warhammer. That would be cool.

The Dragonslayer Bow seems appropiate for him too.

Well considering how much strength it takes an ordinary man to draw a longbow...then yes it is quite appropriate, but do you consider him still god-like or just a really powerful human? If you consider him god-like then go with the dragon slayer bow, but if you consider him to be a powerful human go with one of the other bows.

The normal characters can use the DSGB just fine, they just aren't tall enough to hold it in the air.

I consider him god like of course, like Gwyn and his 4 knights.

Ok guys what do you think of this build. What'd you change? I noticed the Greataxe has some designs that resemble Anor Londo. It also gives this feel of a very strong god of war, as it description says that its wielder must be inhumanly strong. I chose Avelyn over Dragonslayer Bow because of lightning bolts. He also needs a divine weapon so I'm thinking divine Pike. I think the armor combination looks appropriate and the miracles make sense.
