mob healed me!

Was just darkmooning in the forest 2 vs me when i was down to 1/3 life the cleric in the forest joined the fight after its 1st swing it pulled out its talisman and healed me almost to full. I gave the host after i killed him

So anyone else had this. Its a 1st for me.

I always thought he was using Excerpt, I never noticed it heal the other NPCs before. That's really freaking cool xD

Got me thinking about other clerics in the game and if they might be able to heal aswell.
All i can come up with is ToG, those 2 guys with rhea.
Must be more than that... Brain not working... Help please.

Leeroy if you can get him to spawn, it looked like the same animation the forest cleric uses.

Summoning Leeroy in the catacombs, luring invaders, and benefiting from Leeroy's heal would combine so many awesome things. It's too bad there isn't much invading in the catacombs.

Hmm this is interesting, the forest NPC already healed me, maybe you can heal Leeroy or Solaire with the same miracle? If so, Solaire could even solo Gwyn!

Maneater_Mildred - this happened to me when I first joined the forest covenant. It was another FoC member and I trying to kill this ninja looking host armed with a katana - she was very good at evading (DWGR) so we simply could not land a decisive killing blow. The camper was getting some pretty good shots in - I know I was down to like half health - then all sudden the cleric comes running in casting Soothing Sunlight and it was fantastic!!! Amazingly - we finally trapped the camper in one of those log corners in the forest area between the door the castle - both us hit her at the exact same time killing her. At the exact moment we land the killing blows - along comes the cleric casting another SS - it was great!! The key to this fight was the camper could not really focus on killing the cleric because of us so he was able to survived the whole fight. :o

This has only happened to me once though - but when it does happen for you it is truly a sight to see.

I recommend any FoC member who can cast Soothing Sunlight (it takes 2 slots w/3 castings :x ) take it with them when they invade the forest - since it should increase your chance of victory especially if another FoC member present has also invaded. Whenever I invade and the cleric is still alive I always try to attract the full attention of the campers so he cast SS to help me out.

I thought this was a well known occurrence when invading the forest. I should have posted something about it when it first happen to me.

Well you don't have to be in the Princess's Guard to obtain SS since I have it and I am not in that covenant - I think I got it when I killed the the Pisaca guarding Big Hat Logan in The Duke's Archives. You need 48 Faith to use it which I do not have. This has to be the miracle the cleric used or something just like it.

The wiki says you have to be part of the princess guard to use either Bountiful Sunlight or Soothing Sunlight. The wiki also states that the great heal excerpt does not heal allies contrary to what the load screen info states.

So the cleric in the forest must be a PG on lone to the forest hunters as a double agent.... I didnt know they were in bed with each other o.O

Ah, but the Monk in the forest casts it as well.

I knew that monk healed people. Once when someone Invaded my world in the forest, the monk healed the blue phantom once... until I clobbered it with my hammer. Then the being ran to the ents. He died shortly after.

I thought everyone knew this, since that monk always heals that theif when I'm not done with him
