Because of reasons! (T ^ T)

On a completely random note, my mom made me go to a fortune teller over a year ago. The fortune teller told me I would die in a car accident when I am 28. I honestly don't think that would be a bad thing. I just hope it's quick and relatively painless.

I'm not 28 yet though.

I don't usually believe in fortune tellers, but she was able to tell me about something very specific that happened when I was 17, so a part of me wonders if there is some truth to her prediction.

I can tell you right now, no. But if you want to play it on the safe side - don't get in cars for a year.

Hahah, that's impossible. I could just get hit by a car while crossing the street anyway. Besides, she also told me that doctors would discover I have some sort of fatal disease after the birth of my first child. It seems like I will die young either way.

Or maybe that (mis)fortune teller didn't like me very much... I ended up crying for the rest of the day. She literally only told me bad things would happen in my life. Divorce, disease, death.

Sounds like that fortune teller was a ***** lording her moderate knowledge of human psychology over others to me.

She was a douche, so if you have a child at the age of 24 and die a year later, it clearly disproves her car accident prediction.

You will die eventually but just predicting everything and hoping something sticks is lame and not sagelike in the least.

Here's my prediction, you will die at the ripe old age of 118 while paragliding in the French Riviera.

So I just turned Caddyshack on and it's the pool scenes. I realize the synchronized swimming tidbit is almost certainly the most out of place, useless, meaningless scene in cinematic history. It has no relevance whatsoever to the movie. The people doing it aren't very good at it. Worst of all, it COMPLETELY breaks reality, the only cardinal sin in movies. This is one of many reasons Caddyshack is amazing. "Hey, lama! How about something for, you know, the effort."

So I made myself a little down this morning unintentionally but here's a great story with a pretty familiar moral to it.....

As you might know, my daughter loves Dora and Curious George. I recorded an episode of "George" for her in which he collects tadpoles which become frogs as they tend to do. This morning on the way to dropping my daughter off at daycare we drive by a pond on the way. Seeing the relevance to the recent episode I ask my daughter "Are there tadpoles in the pond" (sidenote, TV can be a great tool to help kids learn but only if the parents pay attention to what the kid is watching). She was pretty tired and not paying attention so I didn't get an answer but here's the real story. Right after I asked that question I asked myself "when's the last time I saw tadpoles in a pond?" I couldn't answer with a time but I did get an answer of sorts. I asked myself the real question as an answer. The real question was:

last time I saw tadpoles in a pond? bout a year ago. they were pretty badass tadpoles too.

Man... I think I never missed looking for tadpoles in the water at all.

I always looked for shiny stones instead.

I look for most things when I look in the water.

I think I drowned a few sea monster though, and kept some to myself.

I once caught a jellyfish while i was swimming.

I once caught a whole bunch of crayfish and frogs and fish into one bucket, and saw them fight to the death. :evil:
