Re: There's More to Them DLC Styles
Ciaran the Lord's Blade
From what few scraps of footage I have seen It is clear that Ciaran is alive and well and found later at the site where the player character kills the now corrupted Artorias. From what I gather the player character can op to trade the Soul of Artorias for her blade (perhaps this means that multiple play throughs are required to get all of her gear).
Ciaran is an NPC style character and not a boss, so she has no underlying health bar, but from PeevePeeverson's footage it is clear that she has a sizeable amount of vitality, perhaps in the region of 2-4 thousand. She makes use of a variety of techniques.
Throwing Items- I have determined from the footage that Ciaran makes use of a number of thowable items.
1- Lloyd's Talisman- This is perhaps her most dangerous ability as she is alble to stop the player character from healing through the use of Estus Flasks. She often makes use of this ability when the player character gains distance from her.
2- Posion Throwing Knives- She thows mildly damaging Knives at the Player which can cause poison or so I believe, perhaps the DLC has included some kind of bleed inducing throwing weapons.
Melee Attacks- Ciaran seems to be a purely combat oriented NPC, not making use of Pyromancies, Spells, or Miracles. Her two weapons the Gold Tracer and the Dark Silver Tracer have been speculated to cause bleed and poison damage (see equipment section for more information) and also do significant damage.
Her attack follow a spinning/ flowing sort of combo, indicated by her "gold tracer" lighting/ glowing before spinning a in a series of quick and damaging arcs. This is parriable but it does not seem to be too easy.

How to get the Tracers-
The Tracer weapons are attained by giving Ciaran the Soul of Artorias after you defeat him in his sanctuary. By exiting the game and re entering Ciaran can be found at as small makeshift Grave near the centre of the arena.
Thereupon she asks the player character for the Soul of Artorias. Should the the player agree (the Yes option) then she simply gifts you the blades saying she has no need for them anymore.

How to attain Ciaran's Set-
Ciaran's Set can be attained by killing her at the makeshift Grave of Artorias after you defeat Artorias and have exited and re-entered the game. She acts like a normal NPC offering a sort of buffer amount of damage before attacking.
She is quick and her weapons are damaging and hard to parry. She has in the region of 2000- 2500 HP and throws both poison daggers and Lloyd's Talismans at the player.
Upon her death the items are added to the player characters inventory.
Hornet Ring
"One of the special rings granted to the four knights of Gwyn. The Hornet Ring
Belonged to the Lord's Blade Ciaran. By boosting critical attacks, its wearer can
annihilate foes, as Ciaran's dagger laid waste to Lord Gwyn's enemies."
Effects- Increases Critical Damage, from ripostes and backstabs, by 30%
Aquired from- Located behind the Grave where the player fights Sif. The Hornet Ring will be on a corpse leaning up against the Grave.
BIG UPDATE- It seems that Ciaran is not the only Lord's Blade in existance. The Chest Piece of her armour suggest that there are more Lord's Blade about. Perhaps she is the best thus one of Gwyn's knights!
"A robe common to all of the Lord's Blades. These deadly women shift between layers of darkness, etching streaks of gold into the night air, and planting visions of terror in the minds of thier targets."
Lorehunter Tolvo's Theory
First of all she is a part of a group, most likely women due to the nature of her armor. A mix of knight, Pardoner, and Witch of Izalith. The fabric of a witch and texture, design of a pardoner, and armor like Ornstein. Now then, with that idea the pardoner is known as a swordsman, standing to reason that each of them are. The term pardoner could have more of a negative meaning, such as the act similar to a Darkmoon as is with the cut content. Those who hunt others to purge them of their sins, servants of Velka. Interesting to note the mixture of dexterity in similarity, as well as choice in daggers, clothing design, and purpose of killing. With that as well a female, contrasting to the knights. Gough the Giant, all the giants are male. Ornstein male, like the Silver Knights. Artorias also male, like all other black knights. Cirian however must lead a group just like the others, likely a group of assassins. More than likely females such as herself as women make for better assassins. Not genetically, but in culture.

If you want to get any work done Viral, I would suggest watching this guy's videos. He'll be doing every single line each NPC says for the new content, as he did for the old.

Lore (This is all speculation and is my opinion)
I
believe that Artorias abandoned Gwyn when he found the power to walk in
the Abyss in New Londo. He then met the Four Kings and maybe even
Kaathe. Honestly I have no idea what happened after that but it's
obvious that he either died there or something or he escaped but I think
the Abyss was different when he went there. So Artorias was over
whelmed byt he Abyss and got corrupted. He then somehow got to where he
is in the DLC. Honestly there isn't too much on Artorias except that he
walked the Abyss and that's pretty much it.

Lore (This is all speculation and is my opinion)
I
believe Ciaran was a dear friend to Artorias. There is many things
pointing towards this foremost being that she sits by his grave when you
defeat Artorias and her ring is found behind his grave. Ciaran was part
of a group called the Lord's Blade who I believe were all females and
assassins. I think that the Lord's Blade worked for Gwyn and killed
people that Gwyn said to. Ciaran left Gwyn when Artorias went
Abysswalking and probably lost him for a time. She probably later then
found him insane in Ooacile. I honestly think Ciaran was human. She is
natural size and she sounds like a human.

Lore (This is all speculation and is my opinion)
Gough
well there really isn't to much to go by even with the DLC. From what
we do know is that he is a dragon hunter/killer and he is one of Gwyn's 4
knights. So here is what I believe. Gough might be related to Smough, I
say this because they look alike they fight alike and their names are
alike lol. Now where you find Gough in the DLC is quite odd...I think
he's there because he was a dragon hunter and Kalameet was around there
so it makes since that Gough was there. I think Gough wasn't really
special he just was amazing at hunting dragons and forging arrows and
that's what he done. He never thought or cared about anything else. It's
kind of like Smough, smough just kills people and eats them he never
thinks about anything else and doesn't care.

Ornstein
the captain of the knights. His job was to protect Anor Londo and
unlike the other knights he wasn't going to let anything get in his way.
When the other 3 knights departed from Ornstein, ornstein stayed by
Gwyn's side. Ornstein probably never seen his other allies ever again
after they left though. I think Ornstein was loyal but his character is
quite dull. There isn't much on Ornstein except that he slayed dragons
and was one of Gwyn's four knights sooo yeah.
