Favourite weapon?

I understand its a vague question when taken into account the many different classes you can take, but still, what is your best weapon of choice you use/d mostly? I'm only about 10 hours in and mine is the titanite Catch Pole

The Catch Pole, huh? I think you're the only person who I've heard who considers it their favorite weapon. Interesting. 8)

Yeah, the titanite Catch Pole is an interesting choice.

I prefer the Longsword.

It's simple, realistic, and has a versatile moveset.

I usually pick Warrior over Bandit just so I can start with it.

Halberd. What is it you like about the Pole? Isn't it a worse version of an Enchanted/Magic Gargoyle's Halberd? It has a special R2, but that move seems more like it would kill you over them.

Up until then it was an upgraded battle axe of some kind. My endurance, strength, etc, isnt high enough to wield any of the other BIG weapons I have, like the black knight sword (cant remember its proper name). Still, you've gotta admit, the Catch pole does have that cool jump attack

OP is 10 hours in and might not know what those mean so here are the full names:

Demon Great Machete, Demon Greataxe , Demon Greathammer, Greataxe, (Grant), Man Serpent Greatsword, (Mace/pickaxe), Large Club.

My favourite would be the Balder Side Sword and I actually like the Drake swords movelist... too bad it sucks later on

There really aren't any weapons i dislike. I probably use the Balder Side Sword,Uchi,Great Scythe, Murakumo,Claymore,Rapier,and Ricards Rapier the most. Like i said though there really aren't many weapons i don't like so i often switch up what i use very often.

I don't really have a favourite weapon all that much, but my favourite set-up is the Black Knight Halberd in my off hand, and a Chaos Halberd in my main hand. You guys should try it sometime, it's very fun! Also I believe this is my first post, be nice.

I like to roleplay my builds, so weapons that fit in with my character's lore and look as well as being functional tend to be my most favoured. A few examples of my personal favourites would be:

Barbarian - Golem Axe
Dark Warrior - Man-Serpent Greatsword
Samurai - Washing Pole/Black Bow Of Pharis/Murakumo
Mage Knight - Moonlight Greatsword/Velka's Rapier

I think my next build will be a kind of shambling, pestilent marauder who will utilise the more weathered looking weapons ie. Gravelord Sword (the best looking sword in the game imho), Reinforced Club, Large Club (inherent poison effect), Lifehunt Scythe, lots of Rotten Pine Resin, Dung Pies, Poison Throwing Knives, etc, etc.

You get the idea....Anyone else here use weapons that fits their character's theme?

All Demon and Str weapons but specifically the Demon's Greataxe. The Grant, Server, Great/Lifehunt Scythe, Dragonslayer Spear, Iaito/Chaos Blade, Quelaag's Furysword, Moonlight Greatsword, Ricard's Rapier, Priscy's Dagger, Dark Hand, Darkmoon Bow.

Great Scythe!nHands down the coolest looking weapon in the game.... and perfect for a Gravelord!

Painting Guardian Sword, Bandit's Knife, and Notched whip.

My favorite has got to be the Sunlight Straight Sword. Love the moveset. And I've been wrecking people in PvP with it

Velka's Rapier, mainly because I love the lore ( what little there is ) behind Velka. And as a Dex/Int Build, a +5 Velkas is awesome if you don't have buffs.

Mura for me. No question.

The Painting Gaurdian Sword is my fav hands down. The move set plus the great AR paired with its bleed effect is amazing!! It also swings very very fast 2h and buffed with any resin is very effective.

Although I am looking forward to certain weapons in the DLC which will make me have to change my build.... But I do love the weapons bough. I. am. In. Love.

Life. Hunt. Scythe. It's a bit worse than the Great Scythe due to the lack of range, but that makes it more fun to play. It feels so evil when I use it too, the very nature of the weapon is to bleed and cause harm to other people. I'm also a huge fan of the Chaos Blade and the Furysword, as well as the Winged Spear and Velka's Rapier. I use the GLGS a lot, and I favor the Halberd, though it feels a bit cheap to use its awesome power against anyone who doesn't know what they're doing in PvP. Oh, and the BKGS and DGM for heavy weps. Mura doesn't even need to be mentioned, I love that thing.

Looks? Silver Knight Straight Sword. Elegant, but no nonsense.

That's a sexy weapon forum, it's a shame it's so weak and unbuffable.

Indeed, and I suck with it or I'd use it anyways, and swap to a different weapon if things got rough.
