is this weapon worth getting my strength up to 28? i play with a agressive dextarity build and was wondering if it has a fast enough swing speed to still do this like with the uchigatana.

I like the Laito, Washing Pole, and Uchi much better.

Ima say no, because of the ridicules wind up animation you have to go thru to get a r1 swing off.
however it does have a great reach and arc on its attacks. and its much slower than katanas, i wouldn't compare the two. if you plan on pvping with it prepare to get riposted like a boss.

I use the murakuma for my dex build and I think it works amazingly. If I'm not mistaken it does more damage than the katanas but it doesn't do any bleed damage

It stuns well and it's one of the best weapons for "dead angling," which refers to damaging people through their shields without breaking their shield guard (I can explain more if you want). It also scales well at +15 (A, which is a lot considering its high base damage). It's a good weapon, but yes, the stat investment is high.

I use it for my jumper killing forest hunter machine. Its a good weapon, its so powerfull that you don't need it to be very fast. I switch it up with the flamberge on occasion. you won't know if you like it until you use it. also there are some vids online with people using it.

I agree I use the same weapons in the forest Mura and the flamberg but on the host side..lol it is a very powerfull weapon and if you buff it it almost destroys everyone in one full stamina drain set. stuns like a beast.

Its as slow and powerful as an ultra great sword or a great club. Powerful, but its not my type.
