the R2 recovery from 1h is almost instanteneous,the 2h version it's risky but if you land that attack it will hurt a lot and knock you out,it's definetely useful in a corridor when they cant avoid it.

I just started using this sword and I absolutely love it. Both R2 attacks are so damn fun. Great to know you're kicking *** with it in pvp, op. I haven't been able to get invaded in quite a while on pc, so haven't really had an opportunity to try it out in pvp yet.

Actually the abyss scales with humanity and to get the full extent of the gsoa u need close to max stats and the abyss has a WAY better move set

yes it does once you have 40 strenght 40 dexterity 40 intellingence and 40 faith,considering that you have to invest a lot in vitality and armor considering that you are going to get hurt and you need a lot of poise for great sword bulds, you need to be level 225 or more to make it better
and the R2 attack of the GSOA both 1h and 2h are slow as hell and they do less damage as well

The original swords are cool too, but the Abyssal Sword is a fantastic addition. Definitely the funnest moveset of the 3, though the... cursed one is still one of the coolest-looking weapons in the game, imo. Maybe the coolest.
