Ya the running R1 has to be dead angled then its pretty hard to parry it to say the least!

The range on that 1H R2 is pretty crazy isn't it and it dead angles great as well!!

On the other hand, the stagger makes it easy to roll BS the great scythe. So you have to be careful when fighting someone who can roll BS. BS canceling them isn't that hard though.

To be fair I wasn't fighting very good people, and even people with poise aren't much of a problem if you use the edge of your range, unlike the lifehunt. The 1hr2 is just a god attack, I bet some of those guys were wondering how I killed them when they were obviously blocking.

The only thing that gets me killed when using the GS is:
People who outright stunlock me.
Sorcery/pyro/Miracles.
Spears.
Backstabs.

Very rarely i meet someone who kills me with something else just because he's very skilled

Just saw a pyro in the war roster and wanted to suggest this. It's weak and not very efficient though (would be better with 45 Dex and some more poise/HP).

Last night, I invaded a ninja flipping, havel/stone giant wearing, Grant wielding host. The only thing I could do was roll BS him. I got 533K in souls (around 596 DL)! Highest one I've beaten yet.

I also invaded many many people way above my SL (many times 3 of them).

Def feels good to see a huge amount of souls coming in. I fought a Grant poise gouged build (300+ SL). All I could do was BS him. I kinda felt bad, but what else is there? He can easily tank my hits and smash me to the ground. He spammed 2H Roll R1 (can't parry).

Well, come to think of it, I don't feel bad at all.

Yeah, sometimes bs is all you can do against a Str weapon user, what am I supposed to do, trade hits with your poised up build that will literally smash me into the ground with your superior range and damage if I stay still long enough to swing anything slower than a katana?

Roll backstab sucks.

I just lost a fight to a Smough cosplayer because I didn't want to BS him. Tried to go blow for blow with him and lost. It's not a smart strategy.

Almost all my builds can take out a spear for those kinds of situation.

Yeah Roll BS suck, I think that's why there aren't many strength weapon PvPers. Because after the first day they will on be getting BSed

W - I have a clay, shotel, and 40 poise. Whaat should have been my strategy against a poise tanked Grant user with WoG? I'm also SL 55. I can't think of a viable strategy, or any one where I don't end up getting smashed.

Plus, if he were smart, he would have unlocked and turned his ground pound behind him.
