Skipping ceaseless discharge story

So I finally built a totall vital and endurance built and with my estus I ran across the lava slapped the Capra demon and ran down and jumped off the cliff to where the first bonfire is but the bonfire was not there so I had to traverse along there myself with no estus and went to fight the firesage demon who I completely *** up killing like an amateur. 170.000 souls and 99 humanity so i rush back to the boss fight running across lava again jump do still no bonfire so keep running enter the fog gate and take a huge wack on my head from the big man so I panic and run for my souls taking another hit on the way just make it to my souls in time pick em up an oh yes you guess it my blood stain is empty wtf

The motto is the story is kill ceaseless, don't let him live

This is a prime example of education not being put into action.

Or just have a ****-ton of estus available. Miyazaki said that you don't NEED to kill him to beat the game.

It kind of makes sense if the developers knew about the possibility of crossing the lava without killing ceaseless. Without the lordvessel you'll potentially be stuck there if you rest at that fire, since the journey back across the lava might require more estus than you can provide, either without a stock of humanity to kindle or the rite of kindling for enough potions.
