you have to join the forest covenant and kill shiva's ninja. he appears after joining the covenant after you kill the ninja he drops the darkwood grain ring.

It replaces your roll. So every time you roll, you do a flip instead.

I need light source for tomb of giants, which is the best and easiest to get hold of?

skull lantern is the easiest top get. you find one in the area that patches kicks you to. you equip it in left hand and hold it like a shield. sunlight maggot is probably the best but you have to make it to lost izalith to find it.

There's also a backflip move that goes along with Curved Swords such as the Scimitar, Falchion, Painted Guardian Sword and Quelaag's Furysword that replaces the 'kick' attack - it's a quick strike leading into a subsequent backflip.

BTW best light source i find is the sunlight maggot, running across lost izalith isnt bad, dont even need to kill anything except a titanite demon, and then you can get it. And you can then wear a shield in TotG

What is your int? If it's 14 or above, the cast light sorcery will get you all the way through ToG. You can get it from Dusk of Oolacile after killing the hydra and golem in darkroot basin.

Didn't know about the sunlight maggot, will pick that one up for farming, have been using cast light but would rather have the slot free
