So I realized there really isn't much talk about music on the Off-Topic section so I decided to make a thread on music in general.

Talk about the different genres, artists, and all that other stuff.

Just be careful to follow the forum rules and don't bash on anyone for their musical interests.

I love electronic music and some pop. Sometimes indie music sounds good. Currently in love with Carly Rae Jepsen "Kiss" and Florence + the Machine. When I play DkS duels I like to put on pandora on the Avicii or Kaskade station.

Current fave is PSY-Gangnam Style (see my thread) but I have very eclectic tastes when it comes to music. Anything from Maria Callas (the greatest diva of them all) to Radio Tarifa, Cheap Trick & all shades in between.

We've had good music discussions from time to time. I'm one of the heavy metal lovers on the forum. Megadeth is my all time favorite but I love me some Slayer, Kyuss, Five Finger Death Punch, etc. etc. Old school like Halford and Deep Purple (some crosses into metal but mostly not) and Blue Oyster Cult. I've officially turned my back on Metallica as of the mid nineties. I like a lot of softer stuff too like The Cardigans, Loreena McKennit, and J.S. Bach to name a few. Since it's a discussion about music in any form, there's a good number of musicians on the forum and I've convinced a few to submit things in the Museum of Souls thread which is basically on life support. If any new readers want to add to it feel free. Other art forms are welcome too. If not feel free to take a look and see the submissions that are already there. I have one of the exhibits in my sig.

My music tastes are pretty big. I like most 50-10's rock and I'm a big fan of metal. I like alterantive as well too. Some of my favourite bands are Trivium, Heavan Shall Burn and 30 Seconds to Mars. However I hardly know the names of any artists or songs, I just not whihc songs I like when I hear them.

I like most kinds of music, my favorite genre is heavy metal like a few people on here. I'll listen to nearly anything though, from jazz to rock to blues to classical to even old-school rap.

I like pretty much all music, from house to pop to metal to classic, etc.
I usually have one favorite song per week, and i listen to it all the time. Then i get bored of it and find a new song. I still listen to my old favorites a lot though.

While i enjoy most kind of music i'm picky all at the same time, i'd probably describe myself as a rock/emorock/metal kind of guy.
I like bands like Linkin Park, Three Days Grace, Fall Out Boy, Paramore and 30 Seconds to Mars. I also like music such as Michael Jackson, Johnny Cash, and even classics like Mozart and Beethoven. Atm i've kind of fallen in love with the song Chalk Outline by Three Days Grace.

Breaking benjamin, Rise against, 3 days grace, panic at the disco, muse, seether, disturbed (occasionally).

No one likes The Kid Lazer? Only rap I really enjoy. Other than that, Death Cab, Velveteen, Reliant K, and many others. I enjoy at least a part of every genre.

I don't have an especific taste in music.
Recently I've been listening to surf, rock n' roll, 50s and 60s stuff.
But I also like electronic music a lot, synth stuff the most.
I can tell that Neon Indian, Crystal Castles and Ty Segall are my faves

Hoshi tried to make me listen to dubstep last night. Definitely didnt change my opinion although I admit if you combine it with another genre like soul it can be ok.

Metal, ambient, noise, piano, electro, trance, rock, techno, aggrotech, classic, jazz, progressive, alternative, old school rap, avant garde, and acapella.
I'm not even going to get into sub-genres of music or I'd be on here all night.

I'm loving me some Yiruma and Enemite right now.

^I think dubstep is one of the few types of genres that I can't get myself into. I've tried multiple times but it's just one of those genres that I can't get into at all.

Anyway, found ''The Heavy'' today, was surprised that i enjoyed this band, not really my kind of taste, and Panic! At the disco has to be added to the list as well as Foo Fighters and Nirvana.

Well I'm going to go against the grain here and say I've been listening to dub step lately due to the fact all my fav dnb producers are making dub step now. My roots are in punk/hardcore and metal. Im in the same boat as skarekrow when it comes to metallica, I go as far as "and justice for all"

Pity this thread has been dying down. it was cool
