It's ridiculous. I had full health, then he hit me once, stunlock, gets two more hits in, and I'm already 3/4 dead. What the hell?

Re: Moonlight Greatsword
Like I said in many other threads, this thing is powerful to start with. And then people that can use it can cast one-hit-kill spells too. Oh and if they think its slow you can off-hand a butterfly horn too. Oh they can also have camoflague. Oh and its all supported by 1 stat, int.

As soon as you engage someone with MGS you need to immediately increase your magic resistance and/or equip the Crest Shield - the magic effect (it only does magic damage) can stunlock you - also remember it is in the greatsword class. I also believe even if you have a high poise (>54) along with a low magic resistance will still allow you to be stun-locked due to the magic effect (simply because the damage you are receiving is not physical but magic). Once your opponents gets one good hit - it can be all over because you are going to then be hit with multiple R1s. I usually cast GMB (preferable) or MB then engage - I have been backstabbed with GMB active and barely took any damage. The butterfly horn can also have similar effect but I think it's R1 attack is a bit slower so you should be able to evade in order not to get stun-locked.
MGS is a nasty weapon if your opponent has high INT.
