Pyro-only Build?

I love using pyros so was thinking of making a pure-pyro caster. I plan on using this build exclusively in the forest and was thinking of making it a glass cannon. Here's what I have so far: http://tinyurl.com/9ypdmno

I decided to go with 45 dex for the fast casting speed. The PGS is held in reserve in case I happen to run out of spells (but unlikely!) and I'll be switching the bellowing dragoncrest ring out for the RTSR when my hp gets low. What do you guys think?

A spear is more effective for a glass cannon because of range. Take out your PGS and you'll likely get hit and die.

Yeah I guess you're right, the range is really crappy for the PGS. What spear would you recommend for this build? I've only ever used the SKS and I don't want to invest too much in str just to use that weapon.

In that case a Winged Spear or Partizan will do. I was going to say that glass cannon pyros are very difficult to play in PvP because of the same reason of wielding a PGS, close range combat. I made one long ago and I didn't love it much...

If your using this build exclusively in the forest than you should bump your SL to 120 but as it is, your off to a very good start

You can still powerhouse with the combination of Crown of Dusk + Bellowing + Power Within so you won't even need the Red Ring

Thanks for the tips! But I'm unclear as to what the invasion level range is for forest hunters. The only reason I was keeping the build to a low level was because I'm assuming I'll be invading up and wanted to get as much pvp action as possible. Otherwise I'd put more points into vit and end.

At 45 dex I really can't advise using anything other than the SKS on a glassey build. SKS pyro is one of my "go to" builds for 100 simply because it's the only build I feel comfy with sub 1400 health

Forest hunters invade any level.

I think for pyro you'd be better with Vit instead of Dex due to great combustion needing point blank range.

But if you want to be a forest hunter, you can easily go lvl150 and get lots of action.
