Pick thrust weapon equip leo ring 2 hand your weapon (like a baus) dodge everything he throws you can dodge even his magic without silver pendant. His most attack are punishable,roll away from his combo attack(when he stops and roars) they will probably 1 shot you

Also try piromancy. He is kinnd of weak to fire. Stay away when he casts the dark magic since it can one shot you.
When I did ENB's challenge on Manus I used power within and pyromancies like great fireball, great combustion and the new one.
I was wearing light armor, a fully upgraded crest shield, dusk crown and bellowing dragon crest ring.
It worked really good, allthough you have to time your dodging pretty good.

He's pretty hard from what I remember. I fought him on PC with an awful havel build. I beat him the first try, but barely. It's nice playing new bosses that you don't have memorized yet.

Sounds like a challenge. Have to go through O&S to get there. I was thinking of using a mage, but except for a low level one, my only other mage is Lvl 154 on NG++++. I've got a cleric that has finished O&S, and is in the mid-60 range. Maybe that would be a better one.
I thought I had read that the DLC was good for mages because of all the new magic you get....is that true?

It was easy as pie until manus. Its like the whole dlc was to lure you into a false sense of security, so manus could **** you when you least expected it.

Me? hehe. I downloaded the PC version just to see the new content. I rushed a heavy build through in offline mode. I can't wait to actually use my "good" builds, hehe.

Sounds familiar. I have a handful sitting at level 10 or less, just waiting to try out some of the new stuff. And I'm not even very good at PvP! Even when I'm getting wrecked...I just enjoy the competitive spirit of playing another person.

I'm not that great at PVP either, but it sure is fun. I don't mind being humbled by better players.

No I'm on 360... No one I fight in the arena has a sl 160ish character. This sucks.

Pay attention to his tells. If he slams his chest like a gorilla, it means he is going to grab you. After he slams his chest he does several attacks in quick succession, the grab is the 3rd.
Also keep in mind that some attacks have unlimited range, like that one where he slams his hand down.
When he uses magic he uses 3 kind of attacks: One where dark sorcery falls from the sky, one where it surrounds you and another which is a cone of magic in front of him. The first one is dodged backwards, the second one towards Manus and the third one to the side. You can also block these attacks with the silver pendant.
