I have a feeling that sometimes even writing it all down and reading it, or rather justctalking about it full hearingly, will lead towards a direction that was not the direction aimed for, and ignore the rest completely.

    Anyone got any V8?

Thank you, Starbucks, for this delicious venti skinny vanilla soy latte. Over half a litre of coffee goodness. My new best friend will be the ladies washroom, but whatever.

Washroom = angry birds break. Win-win situation there!

EDIT: Been at work for three and a half hours and just noticed my polo shirt was on inside out. Epic clothing fail. I need to get some sleep or at least find a crowbar to get my head out of my ***

That's pretty priceless Skare. A couple weeks ago I accidentally did an oral presentation with my fly down. That one was pretty scarring.

So I know this probably is going to come off as a bit blasphemous, especially considering my known interest in 80s films. I'm watching the Highlander for the first time right now. Just never really got around to seeing it before. I'm enjoying it so far despite Christopher Lambert's horrible acting ability.

EDIT: Personally I feel that the guy who plays The Kurgan is a much better actor and the reason why that movie is good.

Yeah so far that seems to be pretty much it. Although I thought the scene in the beginning where he was a smart *** to the cops during his interrogation actually wasn't bad either. I figure Sean Connery will have to even it out once he appears in the film.

Well that's not saying very much. At least the plot is keeping me engaged enough to keep watching. It's considered such a classic, they must have done something right.

I really shouldn't bash it too much. Apart from Lambert it's actually a terrific movie. Connery is alright and doesn't break the reality at any point. I think maybe he's just someone with such high expectations that it's a "bad" performance but only in comparison to his work. It's probably pretty good for most people. Clancy Brown is downright amazing. He's genuinely menacing in most scenes. In addition, the atmosphere and direction are solid. And the plot like you mentioned is damn good.

    Dear Off-Topic Thread,

Today at work I got followed around by a crazy man in a hat who asked me if Samsung Galaxy keyboard docks work if they are pear shaped. Apparently he told my colleague we wanted me to offer him something, so I hid in the toy department.

Also I can't get a build right, EVER. Lvl 45, meant to be at Duke's, weak and squishy and unable to not die.

    Sincerely,
    fml.

PS. Edit: It occurs to me that it might not have been the figure of the keyboards he was commenting on, but he was slurring very badly and I already feel dirty so we'll assume it was.

I'm past Connery's part in the film now. I don't think he was all that bad. My only issue is I thought they really over cheesed his
    Spoiler:
It could have been so much more dramatic if they'd just left it alone and let the man act. I completely agree with what you're saying about the villain though. I feel like I've seen him in 100 other 80's films, and not thought much more of him than an actor type cast as a generic goon, but in this film he definitely surpasses that. In just about every scene he's in. The plot's good too, although I am seeing a couple of holes here and there. For one thing if the only way to kill these guys is cutting off the head, why the hell don't they all wear neck protection? I can tell you if there were people out trying to take my head I sure as **** would be.

    ahhahaha

The fight choreography certainly could have been a bit better too. Most of it is bearable, but I just watched the final confrontation scene, between Conner and whats his name there, and there was a good minute or so of the fight where it really seems like they're just hitting each others swords, as opposed to trying to hit each other. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that things like fight choreography make a film, but I am saying when the choreography is that bad it can break the illusion of the film's reality. Know what I mean?

I guess those are good points. As I only have one life to lose I guess I'll never understand.

All said and done it was an enjoyable watch. Netflix has all 3 of them, and the first one's probably convinced me to watch the second one
